She slapped one of those Anti-Trump Anti-travel ban supporters at the San Fran airport yesterday. She and my daughter were up there as my daughter interviewed at Univ San Fran Pharmacy School Friday. Sunday night they were trying to catch their flight back when these idiots were flooding the airport. The airport officials directed them first this way then that way. The police were allowing the protestors to roam freely (She believes the city was sanctioning the event ((Sanctuary city)) Bart even gave the protestors free transportation. Finally she decided to step through the blockade and some guy pushed his sign in her face, she pushed it aside. He started whining, "hey she pushed me. The police just looked away. The realized he wasn't getting any help there jumped up and got in her face and claimed she assaulted him." So she slapped him. That's when these lawyer/civil disobedient types ran in trying to keep it under control saying , "She's not worth it. She's not worth it" they probably wanted some middle age white dude. She told them, "let my daughter through." The flight was 2 hours late. I was getting worried, but they eventually made it home. The one good thing that may have come out of it. My 25 y/o college educated liberal minded daughter may have just seen the light. Then today, they dialed up the San Fran news reports saw the spin, and started firing off emails to the San Fran news, Police Dept. San Fran Mayor, not that it will do any good. But the bastards are all a bunch of treasonous liars and my wife is one bad ass!!

Well she and I are both retired federal law enforcement, so I hope she hit like a man, but I wasn't there to see it. Damn it. I tried teasing her about, "please don't hit me. I don't want to be a battered spouse." But she was pretty upset about it. Still is. She's still firing off emails. The part where the PD did was not separating these people and did not have a clear understanding of their mission and/or rules of engagement pissed me off as well. I want to fire off an email to that chief.
Glad she is okay and defended herself. The paid rioters...err..... protesters are watering down the democratic brand by the minute.

you can't park your car or leave a bag unattended but some crap bag can go in and protest?
In PDX at least these are highly choreographed events with groups notifying the police of intent, staged in an area where police essentially vet the crowd, that then is allowed to march on a proscribed route. It does come unhinged at times - mostly when the groups deviate from the prearranged timeline or route. That's when the pepper spray comes out.
No idea about SFO, but the altercation in Portland was as much about the megaphone "street preachers" coming upstairs after being cleared for downstairs access.

I flew into SFO Monday afternoon. Thankfully either this chaos was dispersed or I was fortunate enough to follow a path leaving the plane and going to the rental car center which was devoid of the enemies of productivity.
