Disappointed Liz didn't do better, but:

1. Can't convince Dems by throwing $$ ads at a feeble-minded populace;

2. In this season of Corona and incompetent federal response, Biff's senility and corruption, spiraling, schizo stock market, some basic decency and stability (Biden) had this one in the bag.

3. Huge break at the last minute among undecideds. Yep, Biff trying to frame Biden in Ukraine and supporting Bernie and Russian support is all the dems needed to see.

4. Epic turnout at least in Harris County and Virginia. Don't know about elsewhere. High dem turnout in Nov. equals 2018 Blue Wave II?

The Party of Identity and Grievance Politics has two old rich white guys as their serious candidates for president... one is a socialist who isn't even a Democrat and the other has dementia. Yep, sure is a lot to be proud of.

Here are some of my thoughts from last night:

1. Impressive turnout for Democrats last night. I can recall one or two posters on this board questioning the Iowa turnout and I said back then to be patient. Clearly, yesterday showed that Democrats are very motivated this election cycle. All Democrats should be happy about this.

2. The establishment finally coalescing around one candidate greatly benefited Biden. He had a strong night and he can thank the party bosses for it. The South Carolina establishment firewall worked like a charm this year.

3. Decent night for Sanders (good win in California) and he now has the two person race his campaign was expecting. If Sanders wants to win this nomination though, he is going to have to show some political skill over the next three weeks.

4. Thank goodness most Democrats rejected Bloomberg last night. That put a smile on my face. Time for Bloomberg to exit stage left.

5. Warren. At this point, she is nothing but a spoiler (planned?). There is a good chance had she not been in the race, Sanders could have won Massachusetts and Minnesota. He probably would have had a stronger showing in other places too.

6. Warren. Come on! She finished third place in her own state. It is way past time for her to drop out and endorse Sanders (if she really believes in the progressive ideas she promotes).

7. Up next: Michigan, Washington, Idaho, North Dakota, Missouri, and Mississippi.

You might want dig deeper on #1. Trump had better turnout unopposed in many of the states than Dems combined.

That sort of sounded like the half-hearted, "I guess I'll pull for LSU since they are playing OU" answer

Yeah there's some of that. He's definitely a compromise.
If Sanders wants to win this nomination though, he is going to have to show some political skill over the next three weeks.

Man I just don't see it. He's gotta break out of the hippie demo. Dems like $$ and capitalism and he's just gonna have a hard time with them. Liz' supporters are more likely to go to Biden imo.

Do you think it is time for her to drop out?

If she's out of the running, yes. I haven't broke it down but she isn't gonna get anything out of the south. She wanted it down to a 3 person race with her as the lone female but if she's too far back why stay in?

I think Sanders will get more of them than Biden. If what you were saying is true, she would have already been forced out by the party bosses.

As for Bernie's chances, again, he is going to have to show some political skill. He is going to have to change up some things. And he is going to have to go after Biden on his Biden's record. If he doesn't, Biden may be the nominee or we may have a brokered convention.

If she's out of the running, yes.

She is out of the running. She was out of the running after South Carolina.

Third place in her own state.o_O

That's hard to overcome. I disagree re party bosses -- they don't have anything to do with biden's resurgence. That's pure motivated base voting.

I'm curious what the turnout was like. Hard to extrapolate from one area with all the local politics being voted on everywhere.

Liz is doing her job - watering down Bernie’s base. Nothing more than that. She’s an embarrassment to this state.

She'll endorse Biden when she exits IMO.

Very headstrong of Bernie not to remain an I - honorable at the expense of his movement.

Bloomberg had a pretty odd strategy and I am really surprised that he ducked and ran this quickly. I made the projection on this board a month ago that I felt like he would be on a ballot, one way or another, in November.

Hopefully his constant ads will at least go away
Games it out and is now on the Biden train. He seems to be sincere in his Defeat Trump commitment.
