Started watching a week or so ago. It is great. I am only through season 2. Need more Monica!
Not many scenes in comedic history as good as the "Mean Jerk Time" but the show is losing steam this season and it's been announced that Erlich (TJ Miller) will not be back next season.
Also, you need to check out Veep if you haven't done so yet. Best written comedy on TV right now.
Been on the Silicon Valley train from Day 1. Ehrlich and Danish and Gilfoyle's interactions make the show for me.
The mean jerk scene and this seasons whole "hot dog not hot dog" with Erlich and Jian Yang are two of the funniest things I've ever seen. Jian Yang has been awesome this season. I hope they give that character an even bigger role.
TJ Miller is a douche but he really helped the show. They are missing him more than I thought they would.
Yeah I agree, I wasn't a huge fan of his character, but it provided a sophomoric break from the awkward nerd humor.
Every season is the same. Good news, bad news, good news, bad news. I don’t really know how you go away from that formula though. It seems stale.
Accurate show as well. A former coworker is a creative consultant. He says some of the bits he suggests get shot down because they are just too freaking unrealistic. This was one of his additions:
Yeah, I'm a couple episodes behind. I still like it and laugh. But it is pretty formulaic. I'll still go watch the mean jerk time scene every couple of months though. One of the funniest TV scenes ever.

I really can't stand the main guy. If it was the same show minus him, I'd like it a lot more. Clever writing.
I caught up this weekend with the new season. They are trying to make Jian Yang the new Urlacker and IMO its not as funny. Still alright but I wish they would break the repetitiveness of the high to low swings it always takes.
I think that’s the point. He’s a Zuckerberg. Genius with 0 social skills or idea how to run a company. I’m sure that’s common in the tech industry.
I just noticed something about the "hooli Box Three." Note the connectors on the right side, pretty much completely outdated vga connector with only one usb connector, along with the old style headphone jack plug-ins on the left.

S5 episode 5 is probably the 2nd best one they’ve done behind 4 minutes of mean jerk time.

Agreed, I really enjoyed it, it felt like a season 1 episode. Dinesh has become a cartoon character though.
Finally finished the season. It is way predictable but it might have been all worth to hear Jared say “do you want to die mother f’r?”
