Guess they could scrap the next sequel, but they probably already have too much invested. Follow the money.

Also, Allen's show was produced by 20th Century Fox TV, rather than ABC/Disney, which makes one wonder why Fox couldn't find a slot for it.

I guess to each their own. I think he's over-rated on the actor scale, but he has some good movies. I really enjoyed "The Ninth Gate", his best work imo. And I found the original Pirates movie creative and entertaining (although they've gone downhill since).
