Spoiler alert for the libs that still believe Fauci is a hero: You won't like how this story ends. Not one bit.
They own "a little less than" $1T worth of US treasuries. How much of the national debt does China own? Seems like we could just offset it.
Marocain Poke, I assume you are not a Marocain, but lived there. I am in business with a Marocain and now know a good number of them. You have probably shared before but I am interested in your story.Faux Xi.
Has China bothered to put up a serious defense in this case and would they even care about being found liable? Would think China has plenty of evidence Fauci and the US government funded/approved of "gain of function" research, which is illegal. They own "a little less than" $1T worth of US treasuries.
As for "making China pay", I suspect Trump will negotiate some sort of trade tariff exchange. Normally (as seen in Trump's steel tariffs back in '18) if the US enacts a tariff, China would enact a counter tariff on something they buy from the US (like Soybeans). However, if you negotiated say $500B in tariffs on Chinese goods with an agreement that instead of China enacting a tariff on US imports, we'd accept that tariff revenue as repayment as part of a 'settlement' for their role in Covid's impact to the US economy. Now you get the tariff without the counter tariff hitting our farmers (and other industries) and China doesn't have to deal with World Court level lawsuits, potential UN sanctions, etc.
Fauchi is now a Chinese citizen.
Born in Dallas, raised in Tulsa. Did some IT contracting with Tanger Med industrial port for a bit in the early/mid 2010s. We all got along great, so they made me an honorary Moroccan. Got a number of chances to enjoy that Rif Mountain product in the lounges of Tangier and some of the mountain towns when I got to venture out. Certainly a "high"light!Marocain Poke, I assume you are not a Marocain, but lived there. I am in business with a Marocain and now know a good number of them. Don't forget Cocaine Mitch. So is Diane Feinstein
That festival is unreal and legendary. Lucky you, man! And yes, while not the world's most potent (still really good), hashish is literally everywhere. Moroccans love all music and a ton of artists (Rolling Stones, Page and Plant) are heavily influenced by Moroccan musical tradition. That's awesome. Moroccans are good people.
Befriended a group at work in OKC and ended up going over there in '09. Pretty neat place. Went to the African Music Fest in Essaouira the week that Michael Jackson died. Couldn't believe how devastated people were over that.
Surprised by the size of the blocks of hashish over there.
