What happened to not shaming HS kids? Didn't we get lectured over and over on Parkland kids? The left seems like they are on a mission to take down a group of innocent HS kids... pretty despicable.

Very fair take... I appreciate the hoensty. Considering it was a basketball game and they were participating, I agree. I'm not sure why she's on a crusade to shame the kids after the full video was released. Regardless of my politics, my initial take was the kids were awful for the mocking. But, I saw the full video and it definitely changed my thoughts. Silly for the media (both sides) to make this such a huge story.

Each group was shamed by the other side.
I think shaming kids and digging up stuff to shame a 16-17 year old is pretty wrong, regardless of why they are in the spotlight.
- One group is receiving death threats, the extreme vast majority of which are never actually acted upon, regardless of side
- The other group was actually shot at.
You can’t logically weigh these equally man. Just don’t.
He walked after the charges or before? The story was from mid December, so not sure when he would have walked afterwards. So I have to assume he graduated before he did this heinous act. But you know what's really sad? You are so invested in proving these Covington kids as 'bad' that you are digging news sites for ANY story that anyone from that school ever did ANYTHING wrong so you could throw it out there and lump them all together.

When I first read it, your focus seemed to be on libs lecturing on not shaming minors and then shaming rather than those that tried to shame the Parkland survivors and are now decrying similar behavior.
I must have missed all the celebrities and media members threatening bodily harm and doxing of the anti-gun students from the Parkland shooting.

While I don’t necessarily agree with your established standard in all situations, I liked your post because at least your standard is consistent.
Well.. I didn't intend for such a blanket in all situations. I thought of few after my post that would clearly be exempt.
However... I think the mob (left and right mobs btw) going after kids is just wrong. I think consistency is important. The overall rhetoric in our country could be toned down if there was more consistency in reporting and responses. Outrage culture is killing us... I know i fall victim to it. I saw the 20 second clip on Friday and i immediately thought the kid(s) were clearly in the wrong and should be punished.

The basketball game stuff is over the line, but ive seen nothing that makes that one smirking kid look better. In fact the extra video substantiates at least his fellow classmates were way over the line.
