Sure are a lot of total outsiders in this new administration.
This is a strong, for the troops pick. His presence alone will get woke generals to resign or retire. If they don't he doesn't strike me as the kind of guy who will not tolerate decent in any of ranks. You don't like it leave. The military is going to be a must watch over the next couple years.
I would think the troops would love this pick, knowing they have one of their on in leadership. With the way the Biden Administration treated them like shit this has got to be a huge moral booster. As long as Hegseth is smart enough to know what he doesn't know and listens to those that do, this should bee a great pick.

I like it. A true outsider who isn't a political ladder climber, cares about the US, the military and readiness. The defense contractors are probably going to have a fit.

It doesn't surprise me to see the AF as the branch that is out front on the DEI initiatives forced on the armed forces. I look forward to seeing Hegseth get this straightened out and turn the AF back into a fighting force and not a social experiment. The AF can be one of the US's greatest military assets, when it is allowed to have thier airman become professional war fighters.

No, but they are most likely the the branch that embraced DEI the most. I don't know for sure but I do know they embraced being a social experiment before Obama was even in the WH.

I'll take your word for it. I don't think any branch was left untouched. The secretary of defense will have his work cut out for him, and will have to replace or eliminate positions of a lot of top brass, and then work your way down. However, I do think if you change our the officers you will get the change you need.

Trump floating DeSantis as Hegseth's replacement is genius. They couldn't deny DeSantis and he would be as effective if not more effective at destroying the BS in the DOD.
The louder the libs scream about Hegseth, the more dangerous he is to them.
