Decide to switch it up a bit from all Trump, all day, every day.

Nocola Sturgeon, First Minister of Scotland and leader of Scottish National Party, is asking for another Scottish independence referendum. It seems the majority of Scots may want to stay in the EU more than they want to stay in the U.K.

So what say you nationalists/anti-globalist? You libertarians? You conservatives? You liberals?

Should they be allowed to vote whether to leave again? The first vote was before Brexit. Brexit was voted down in Scotland.

Looking for thoughts not only whether it is a good policy decision for them to leave the U.K., but also whether Theresa May should rightfully provide Holyrood the authority to hold a 2nd binding referendum.

Scottish Nationalism when the Scots may want to stay in the EU....what say ye? Which of your urges (nationalism and anti-globalism) wins out over the other?

Yup, they can choose to leave anytime they want and join whomever they want and it should be respected so long as it's what the people of that nation want. The anti-globalists may hate it but they need to respect it. Just like Crimea when they chose to leave Ukraine and become part of Russia.

Not sure what the terms are for them being in the U.K. If members can opt out at will, go for it.

In general I am for another vote but you can't have members voting in/out frequently. That creates uncertainty and makes you weak.

Having said all that, Scotland was against Brexit, it's dominated by nationalists, and the nationalists want in the EU, so I say go for it.

Read yesterday that the folks in Scotland gather up ~$1,000 pounds in goodies then they pay in. So if they do leave they are going to have to reduce benefits $1,000 per head or raise taxes enough to cover the miss. Plus would you really want to take your savings/retirement and covert it to euros if you have to shitcan the pound as your currency, hoping that the Euro somehow doesn't tank. Noooooooooo

All that said, have absolutely no problem with them voting to tie their country down to a sinking ship. Good luck!
