I just seen that. I live about two hours away from this tourney. Any idea who is going for OK State?
Would assume the bulk of starters since back ups are at Michigan State (and Jamison).

Flo posted full list of entries and we are not on it nor is Penn State. It looks like we decided not to send anyone although I had heard that Plott and Hendrickson were scheduled to go. In an interview on OSU Max DT did not mention anyone going to the Journeyman but indicated that several (14) would be at the Michigan State Open. He also gave a rundown on the starting lineup for our first dual : Spratley,Witcraft,?, Young, Travis,Amine,Hamiti,Plott, Surber and Hendrickson. He said 141 was not yet decided. He clarified when asked specifically about Jamison that he was wrestling well and would be at Michigan State at 141. He is still in the process of making this cut. Other than Jamison the only two wrestlers mentioned were Spratley and Carter Young. He described Spratley as a "spark plug" and one you wanted to have at 125 to get the team off to a good start. He also said Young was looking very good at 149 in response to a question about his knee from last year and had no health problems.

That poster has been out and updated with OSU for several days. Still nothing on the web site so still really wondering who shows up.
The one I posted was the one they sent out at 6:12 this morning. And they may not have updated the website flyer but that tweet is from their official X site so I think it's the best and most reliable flyer.
That said, I'd love to be wrong and for us to have some boys show up in orange and whip some a$$
Not everyone has X but most of us know where to find the official okstate.com sports info. They put up new info from interview with DT. He mentions start of season next weekend, nothing about this weekend.

Wasn’t sure where to put this but I redid my ncaa math based on where we are at now….with very orange colored glasses. Wrestling roughly to seed and continuing at our current bonus rate I have us around 115. My initial math before the season had us around 80 I think.

I think you'll see alot more bonus than we're accustomed to.
I honestly see the 20 point range for DJ, Plott and Wyatt, which is where an average hits from your #'s. I think you are light on Surber, Fish and Amine (not much.)
Reece could honestly do some surprise point accumulation depending on draw.

You are all fools and missing the obvious real answer. 10 national champs, all pinning their way through the bracket. Cael is so awestruck he resigns from PSU to come be a volunteer assistant at Oklahoma State.
Can’t put a price tag on the knowledge he’ll gain. Plus I’m sure he’s got a pretty penny or two put away in savings unless he went all in on a crypto scam.

If Reece wins any at all, it’s likely bonus. Dean having more the Wyatt? Have you been watching at all?
Also, we don’t allow any Iowa credit around here and it’s my opinion we’re a better tourney team that a dual team.
I was speaking about Iowa only when it came to dual/tourney results.
6AAs is actually a good tournament, so I wouldn't sniff at it. I also think people overestimate bonus at nationals based on season results. At nationals, where you're wrestling 5-8 matches over three days, it becomes as much about saving energy for the next match than anything else.
I won't be surprised if OSU takes second, as I think they are on the rise as a team. It's just that I don't see it today. Late February may change my mind.
Just ribbing a little…but I do think Reece scores better and Wyatt will be our highest point scorer!
I know you were. I have Spratley, Hamiti, Plott, and Hendrickson finishing 3rd, with Hamiti having the most bonus. The downside for OSU is that every one of your best guys except Spratley is at a weight with at least two national champs. Haines/KOT. Carter/Keck, Gable/Kerk.
I don't see Hendricksen doing better than 3rd, which historically averages 15 points with bonus. So if I give him 18 for extra bonus, then that gives 96 points.
Reece, I just don't see it, but I'd be happy to be proven wrong. I may have low balled him but I just don't see AA. Maybe 3 points and R12. I know I'm pissing on myself for saying that on your board, but I see you guys getting between 94-100 points at this point in time. Three months is a long time and OSU is getting better every day.
To give Reece 1 point I assume you have him losing his first match and then winning 2 in consi by D then losing to go out. 2-2 isn’t a bad prediction for him, but if you have Reece winning 2 matches at least one of those is with bonus I would wager so 2 point minimum. I personally think 3 is his floor. I definitely overestimated on mine, but 1 is unlikely too. If you have him winning his first match, then unlikely he then proceeds to go 0-2 from them to end 1-2.
Tagen with 8 means you must think he is upset in the quarters which is fair, but to get to 8 he would then have to place 8th basically (go W-L-L in consi) to only get 8 points. Rough call but I guess he did go 0-2 last year….
Young, I won’t argue with too much. He could easily go W-L-L or L-W-W-L but again I would expect a bonus somewhere in there so 1 is again kinda silly.
Wyatt is also head scratching. He has F/TF over 5 NCAA likely qualifiers this season already. It is extremely likely he goes F-F to start. That’s 6 points. Quarters I guess you could go MD (how he did against Schultz) so that’s 8. Semis you could give him a loss to kerk (def not a lock) and he goes to consi semi where he likely gets MD minimum so that’s 9.5 and then third place match again MD minimum puts him at 11 plus 10 for 3rd puts him at 21 points. So assuming he only gets MDs there (unlikely IMO) you’re still 5 points short unless you think there’s someone besides kerk and Gable who can beat him?!

Wyatt got 18 last year and this was with being upset to the 10 seed. Obviously anything can happen but Wyatt is on a freaking mission to pin everyone it seems lol.
On Reese, I could see R12 and 3 points (which is what R12 averages). Unless you get past R12, you just don't score points for the team.
Tagen at 8 points is 7th/8th place points. So I see him as an AA.
To me, Young is uneven right now. Which guy shows up in March? It is certainly possible that in three months Carter is a different guy.
As for Wyatt, 3rd place over the years averages 16 points with bonus. I gave Wyatt 16. I didn't insult him. Can he get 18? Sure, but at this stage we are discussing a point or two either way. Like I said, I see OSU at 94-100, which to me is a good year from where you started in May.
Time will tell, and I certainly can be wrong.
I think you underestimate the survival grind at nationals, where bonus comes in lower than what is being produced during the regular season. Only the best of the best can score 6-7 bonus during nationals. Even great wrestlers often don't break 4 points for bonus at nationals.
Upset was in the semis which is what rankings suggest this year.
