I really look forward to seeing this guy wrestle. Grey shirt sounds smart for this year. Next year he can redshirt, or take the 125 position depending on wrestling off with Spratley. If he is behind Spratley he can focus on getting bigger for next year and wrestle 133.

He’s probably not getting bigger…

I had this same convo with @Howie_Fartz

I know yall are going off of what people are saying around the room and yall very well may be right but the kid has already been wrestling up at 134 (61kg). He was the 2023 U20 61kg and he lost out to Ono for the 61kg world spot this year. Him going 133 isn’t some crazy notion

No, it’s not. He’s not a huge 57kg guy, so 65 is unlikely…but possible.

I’m just anxious to see him folkstyle go.

No Im saying 61 not 65. Until now he’s been wrestling 61kg for the last couple years. I’m not saying he’s a big 61 but he’s young. I’m just not ready to pigeon hole the kid as a 125 when we need a 133 and he’s been wrestling at 134 (61kg) for two years.

61 is the non-Olympic weight isn’t it?

Ono is probably the best P4P wrestler in the world right now.

Merry Christmas to all of you! I hope you have a happy and joyful holiday spent with friends and family!
for sure. Tough spot to be in for Rin with Rei (at least he’s aging) at 57 and Ono at 61
