I've been battling plantar fasciitis for a year now. I've had two rounds of steroid injections, PT, and I'm currently in a walking boot. My foot specialist (Bradley Nelson) here in Clinton says rarely does this ever result in surgery, but says I need it since nothing else is working.
Recently (since Feb 12th) the "normal" symptoms I've had this whole time have changed. It used to be severe pain when you first got up in the morning, and anytime after you had been sitting for awhile. Only twenty steps or so and it would be tolerable. Now, it's stabbing pain. Awful awful pain. All the time. I can just be sitting watching tv and my heel starts burning and feeling like I'm being stabbed with a screwdriver. It rarely goes away, and it's changing the way I have to do things. I can't run, I can't get on the treadmill.
I need a second opinion, and want it from someone in Okc. Any suggestions?
