Raney twins?

People may talk about Iowa being home of the twins with the Brands brothers but I remember the Keller Twins (Dwayne and Darrell) from back in the day for us. They may not be the first set of twins with 2 titles each but they beat Iowa by a couple of decades (man, I’m getting old)
I recently read about the Kellers. One beat Larry Owings at Nationals the year after Owings beat Gable. Not names that are known by many but they should be talked about more.

As an aside, don't forget Iowa had the Banach twins - after the Kellers but long before the Brands and Steiners too.

The Banachs are from New Jersey (I guess they ate a lot of cheap salsa) and the Brands are from Nebraska (I thought I was dead till I found out it was just that I was in Nebraska)
Born in Nebraska, but grew up primarily in Sheldon Iowa ... not that there is a big difference there 🤔

Heresy maybe, but I think the Raneys are AA types and not finalists. Good to have obviously but not must haves.
1. You’re crazy. Raneys are absolutely finalists potential. They’re athletic as all hell. They’re going to make huge jumps being in a college room.

2. Between OSU and Iowa - one of them needs to get the Raneys to even have a chance at catching PSU in the next 5 years.

Not crazy at all. Finalist potential? Sure. Lockett and Blaze and Jax level? Not at all. The Raneys are really nice to have but not on that level.

If Penn st was gonna get them would that change your opinion?
Not sure what that is even supposed to mean.

Penn st can only send one guy per weight at NCAAs.

But if they went to Penn st, I honestly think they’d find their way into the lineup. I get that I’m clearly higher on them than some. But even you said it - they ain’t got no partners… and when they go to an RTC - it’s to rub tiddies.

What do you make of Sealey’s debut?
Well, his debut did not go well on Friday. He did much better today but still lost 2-1 on a brick reversal of a late TD. Honestly, I'm not sure how Angel Rivera could reverse the TD. It was clear as day that he was right in giving Sealy the TD the first time. Anyway, Sealy could not penetrate the defense of the 30th ranked guy today so I am concerned. He was injured earlier in the year but I would have expected better from his feet. He is a typical freshman on the mat so he needs to shine in neutral and he is both tentative at times and/or is not able to finish. Not giving up on him. I still think he will shine.

Cole Mirasola weighed in today at 219.5. Lost 2.5 pounds from Friday. He needs to add 15 pounds of muscle in the next 8 months or he is going to have serious problems at heavy. He is getting horsed around.
