The NCAA has set its schedule for the announcement of the field and brackets for the 2015 NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships set for March 19-21 at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis.

The NCAA will release each set of qualifiers (in alphabetical order) on NCAA.com over the course of the day on Wednesday, March 11, beginning with 125 pounds at 1 p.m. ET and continuing with a new weight class each half hour (133 pounds at 1:30; 141 pounds at 2 p.m.; etc.).

The link will be promoted and shared on the NCAA Wrestling social media channels on both Twitter (@NCAAWrestling) and Facebook (NCAA Wrestling) that you're more than welcome to share with your fans and media.

The day will conclude with the NCAA Wrestling Selection Show at 6 p.m. ET on NCAA.com where the seeds and brackets will be unveiled for each weight class.

Check out the Selection Show at:

Immediately following the show, the full release and brackets will be posted on NCAA.com.

The championship match order for Session VI on Saturday night will be determined during the championships at the conclusion of Saturday morning's Session V.

I'm going to be posting up the qualifiers, brackets, and seeds as they become available. But if you want them directly from the source you should follow https://twitter.com/ncaawrestling on twitter today.

Liazk had a big quality win over Rodriguez from Air Force. That's what gave him the boost he needed.

Kindig made it at 149 hopefully he is healthy enough to make a nice run next weekend

No 197. Gonna need a lot of points in the wrestlebacks to compete with Iowa, Penn State, Missouri, and Minnesota that should qualify 10.

I would surprised if they all received 10. We weren't going to score any points at 197 anyway.

Penn State only qualified 7 and Minnesota only qualified 8

Depending on how crazy the brackets look...this is Iowa's to lose.

Could be a long (short) tourney for OSU, but again, depending on brackets, it could be fun to watch!

I missed 25-49. Collica is in the quarter with realbuto(2 seed) and miller (7). Martinez is the 1.

Ad obviously 1, Moreno, I Jordan, Sulzer are the 2-4.

Crutchmer the 12, would face Butler(5) in second round. Kokesh, brown, Evans, 1-3.

Boyd also 12, would have Meeks second round. Dean, thomuseit, stauffer, dechow 1-4.

Big 12 qualified 25 and the WWC qualified 23. Should make for an interesting conference tournament next year.

Marsden got the 4. Gwiz, McMullan, Telford are 1-3. Marsden would have Medberry in qtrs.

Hear are the brackets.

That link worked on my phone, but not on my desktop.

Brackets

Some may be surprised that Kindig was not seeded and has to wrestle #3 David Habat but if you think about it he has not wrestled for the last three matches and at this point oplposing coaches do not know if he can wrestle. This is unfortunate but I think probably fair especially when national champ Delgado is not seeded at 125 and in the same boat.

My link upthread is now updated with a full list of qualifiers including their seeding and brackets.

And woof, tough draw for Kindig. Habat right away and if he wins he might have Stieber in round two. Also sucks that Boyd and Weatherspoon are in the first round. I cheer for the Big XII in any matches that don't involve Iowa State but I because of that draw have to say I hope Boyd hits the consolations early.

Gotta beat em all to win it! But dang, some tough draws on some guys! Kindig got hosed, but I bet Habat thinks he got hosed...he has to wrestle kid goer!

174 - I like where (12) Crutchmer is on the bracket. He wrestles big in big matches. A lot of that is probably John. Crutch's end of match take down to get to OT vs Brown (PSU) was impressive.

Assuming Crutch wins 1st match against Bernstein (Navy), not a big match, he likely faces (5) Butler (UVA). That's the kind of big match Crutch can win. The common opponents favor Butler, but not by much. Crutch lost to Storley (Minn), Butler won in SV. They both lost to Kokesh (Neb), Crutch by MD, Butler by 6-2.

This is the kind of match Crutchmer can win.

I think Crutchmer is sitting at a good spot in the bracket for poke fans. As an Iowa fan myself, I think Crutchmer can and will beat Butler, and then beat Eblen from Mizzou. His ability to take down the absolute TANK that is Matt Brown impressed the heck out of me. Something that Evans has yet to accomplish this season. Would also help Iowa out by knocking off one of Mizzous higher seeded wrestlers

Lax - I, too, think Crutchmer can take Eblan. I'll still be rooting for Crutch, even with that dark cloud of assisting Iowa in the silver lining of my Crutchmer upset prediction.

qualifiers

per ISUChip

10 (5 schools) - Illinois, Iowa, Michigan, Missouri, Ohio State

9 (3) - Cornell, Nebraska, Oklahoma State

8 (3) - Minnesota, Purdue, Virginia Tech

7 (8) - Chattanooga, Iowa State, Lehigh, Old Dominion, Oregon State, Penn State, Virginia, Wisconsin

6 (8) - Arizona State, Edinboro, North Dakota State, Northwestern, Ohio, Pittsburgh, Rider, Wyoming

Re: qualifiers

I will happily root for Crutchmer over Eblen. Iowa is a great rival and are true fans of the sport! The Mizzou fans I have engaged with are jerks!

Overall are draws look pretty tough, but that is what happens when you are ranked out of the top 8 individually. It never ceases to amaze me about upsets that occur early in the tournament change the complextion of everything.

I cannot wait until next Thursday.

Re: qualifiers

Fans of all schools complain about draws, it speaks to the toughness of the Championships.

I can't wait till Wednesday

To top it off, if Kindig loses to Habat he ends up in the consolation pigtail.
Since they went to it being a 32 man bracket with a pigtail instead of a 64 man bracket with 15 byes it is actually a big bonus to draw a pigtail match. If Kindig does lose to Habat he'd have either a guy who was either unranked in Ream or ranked 31 in Barber (from the pre-conference tournament coaches panel, since we don't see the one from Monday). Drawing into the pigtail means a minimum of .5 extra points for Oklahoma State and given those opponents it could easily be a 2.5 point bonus. Sure he might have Stieber in the next consolation round - but Stieber is only going to be there if he is really hobbled and can't beat the 15th ranked guy.

Stiebers 1st round match up is a scary one for him with those elbows you guys are familiar with his opponents older brother Lou from the 2007 season Cody has a very similar game all it takes is him being on top to knock Stieber out the championship bracket

More matches would mean more chances for injury. Hoping for more than 1/2 point out of Josh this year. If he is healthy he can beat Habat. Josh has looked great when he was healthy.

How in the world did Boyd and Weatherspoon end up drawing in the first round. I thought that the brackets were structured that you did not get a first round with someone from your same conference, much less the first two placers. I remember the issue in Detroit where they screwed up and did not allow the same conference to wrestle in the first two rounds and it made the bracket bizarre. I was hoping Boyd and Weatherspoon would see each other much later in the championship bracket.

I posted the breakdown over on Cyclone Fanatic, but I went through the brackets and projected results based purely on which wrestler in each match had a higher Intermat rankings, or the last available coaches panel in the event that neither wrestler was ranked by Intermat. That gave Oklahoma State the following

125: Klimara in 8th (beats Mines in the R12)
133: Nothing (0-2 for Harding)
141: Nothing (Heil goes 2-2)
149: Kindig in 6th (makes an epic run through the consolations after losing to Habat in the 1st round)
157: Nothing (Collica goes 2-2)
165: Dieringer in 1st (beats Moreno in the finals)
174: Crutchmer reaches R12 (loses to Epperly in the R12)
184: Nothing (1-2 for Boyd, eliminated by Courts in the 2nd round consolations)
197: N/A
HWT: Marsden in 4th (loses to Gwaizdowski in the semifinals, Telford in the 3rd place match)

That gives Oklahoma State 53 points, good enough for 6th. Has Iowa winning with 85 to 79 for Mizzou.

This did not include any bonus point wins, so obviously I am not actually predicting 53 points for OSU. And upsets can echo through the whole bracket and hork up the whole thing. This was just a straight projection based on Intermat rankings.

AAs and Scoring breakdown

Nice work!!

Being the eternal optimist when it comes to cowboy wrestling, I am hoping that Klimara slides past Garrett in the quarters. I would have lower expectations in a dual setting, but I believe NG missed weight once this year. Hope Klimara can take advantage of that!

I filled out all my brackets, and I came up with;

125 - NaTo, Gilman, Nahshon, Waters, Dance, Conaway, Klimara [/B]and Terao

133 - Dardanes, Taylor, Clark, Hall, Richards, Schopp, Diju and Brewer. I have Harding getting beat by Clark in the AA round.

141 - Stieber, Dardanes, Mayes, Jeva, Port, Heil[/B], Carter and Horan. For some reason, I think Heil gets Mayes?

149 - Sorenson, Tshirt, Houda, Villa, Habat, Kindig, Ruggirello and Theobold. I had some fliers in this bracket, I know.

157- Imart, Ness, Green, Collica,[/B] Kelly, LaValle, Pack and DeAngelis.

165 - Dieringer,[/B] I. Jordan, B. Jordan, Sulzer, Palcio, Moreno, Gracey and Morse.

174 - Kokesh, Storley, Brown, Evans, Crutchmer,[/B] Walters, Eblen and Epperly. I just think Crutch shows up, I really do!

184 - Dean, Thomusseit, Brooks, Dechow, Brown, Pfarr, Stauffer and Boyd[/B].

197 - Gadson, Cox, McIntosh, Shiller, Snyder, Ayala, Burak and Huntley.

Hvy - Grizz, McMullan, Telford, Coon, Marsden[/B], Medberry, Walz and Lawson.

This tourney looks like so much fun, I cannot believe Im not going! Thank the Lord for ESPN...I just hope they have the matches showing that I want to see!

My pick for the upset would be Klimara beating Garrett in the quarterfinals as Klimara has no trouble with weight. If they run the quarters at the same time as the consolations then Garrett does not have much time after weigh-ins to recover and Klimara gets him. My other upset specials are with Crutchmer. I think he can hang with anyone outside of the top four and not so sure if he catches those guys right he could take one of them.

Good luck to OSU...I underestimated Ringer last year, said he didn't have a good shot...look how that turned out. Going to be a fun one in that upper part of the 165 bracket. As a fan of the sport, would really like to see Ringer and Bojo go at it in the semis...as an Iowa fan, hope Bo slips up early.
