I say that you arrived at a conclusion to support your cognitive dissonance and nothing more.
Your position requires ignoring how he became known in the first place and then ignoring the fact that his gift for breaking down complex situations into things that are easy to understand, and championing personal responsibility can make people better versions of themselves.
Your opposition/distaste for him does not come from critical thinking - because you've addressed nothing of actual substance - just more postmodernist mythology re: Peterson "sustaining his very lucrative grasp on a disaffected segment of society." What you did there in that statement is plain to see and easy to understand.
“Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.” Cut off the support network (
only the disaffected are fans of Peterson) and isolate the target from sympathy (
Peterson is a money grabbing charlatan) .
Sure, it's more elegant an nuanced than potato's "
derp.... Candace Owens is an idiot,
derp derp." but that's to be expected.
At least you don't stink of fear when you talk about him like
@syskatine does.
