The argument for Trump attending the debates is that he won't be able to respond to the attacks he is going to receive and it will damage him and allow someone else to shine.

Trump will go scorched earth on those that attack him and he doesn't need a debate to get his messages to 10's of millions.

Many questions about his feckless deferral to Anthony Fauci during the Covid panic (which I belive is what cost him the election), and his continued insistence that the vaccine he promoted was a good thing. Real questions regarding his keeping of classified papers and waving them around in front of a reporter bragging he could have declassified them but didn't.

I disagree with you about "draining the swamp." I doubt that he could drain any of the swamp by 2028. But if he could I don't see how he could without becoming a fascist dictator. You obviously see it another way. How would Trump go about draining the entirety of the swamp in four years? It's taken decades for the swamp to reach this point, it would require pulling a hell of a plug to drain it so quickly. I hope you're right! I'd love to see the swamp disappear. He could do forced relocations of various executive departments out of DC. That would be a big start in draining the swamp. And that is something he could do in a 4 year window. If people working for Amazon or Google won't relocate to work, do you think many DC swamp things are gonna accept a relocation to El Paso (which is where I'd put DHS headquarters for example).
