Not to derail your debate with the troll, but high level US officials have specifically declined invitations to sit down with NK leadership to deny them the legitimacy they so craved. To do so would have required significant concessions, concessions NK leadership were unwilling to make. At this point NK appears to be making similar concessions after agreement with the POTUS on a summit style meeting.
An interesting turn of events IMO. Definitely unorthodox on the part of 45... I doubt it was intended to work as it has, likely the adults have taken control of the process, hence the progress.
I’ll be very pleasantly surprised if anything truly symbolic of progress happens, like the hostages returning home. I remain incredulous about NK, as much of the intelligence community has for decades.
