We're they not upfront about your pay when they offered the position? One of those "with bonus and incentive" compensation packages that have unachievable performance measures to make them? Not sure that's your case, but it plagues the restaurant and retail industries.

We had talked about a competitive rate based on my skills and experience. Claimed my pay rate was a "computer error". Doesn't matter really...they offer no benefits, and they would have to pay a damn good rate to compensate for that - on top of being the best cook they hired. You don't screw that up.
What's funny is I go to get my employee number and he says he's starving for cooks and servers, yet he makes zero craiglist ads or Snagajob or anything. He won't be the GM very long there IMO, but best of luck to em.

Me too. I wish they had an unlimited salad and cheddar bay biscuits option like olive garden has. I could eat this board's body weight in those damn biscuits.
