OSU remains busy in transfer portal. Oklahoma State is up to 13 football players arriving via the transfer portal.
The latest was Charlotte defensive back Mordecai McDaniel, who is reuniting with new OSU defensive coordinator Todd Grantham and new defensive line coach Ryan Osborn, who just left Charlotte. McDaniel played for Grantham at Florida before transferring to Iowa Western Community College.
OSU also added former Collinsville and Central Oklahoma star tight end Oscar Hammond, who spent last season at North Texas. The 6-foot-3, 235-pound Hammond had 238 yards and a touchdown on 19 catches as a junior at North Texas this past season.
The Cowboys also recently added Texas-El Paso defensive end Kyran Duhon. The 6-foot-2, 250-pound Duhon had 43 tackles and 7.0 sacks as a true freshman at UTEP, with all of his sacks coming over the final seven games of the season.
Finally, the Pokes also landed LSU cornerback JK Johnson, who began his career at Ohio State. He has 25 tackles for his career, with three this past season, while playing in nine games. The 6-foot-1, 185-pound cornerback did not play in 2023 because of a season-ending injury.

An early Christmas gift for the Cowboys, Jotavion Pierce announced his commitment over the holiday break. A 6-foot-2, 185-pound defensive back, Pierce had eight interceptions and nine pass breakups in his senior season in Montgomery, Alabama, to go with 76 tackles with four for loss.
