I try to see OSU as glass half full, but listen to this podcast. Some "lowlights":
1. Chad's idea of upping our NIL game is giving our athletes better video equipment, better "tools". Same tired and stupid BS we were told from the beginning when OSU bragged we had an OSU professor that wrote the book on NIL and Stanford was going to use it and all the Universities would use it, and we are ahead of the game, and we hired this firm to help the athletes. Chad, this is not how the NIL game is working currently. Maybe if Congress steps in, new video equipment might matter. Guess he thinks our athletes can all become Oliva Dunne on their own.
2. Near the end, you can tell he knows our fans are not happy with some coaches and certain sports. But boy howdy, our Coaches sure do not shy away from high expectations and no one wants to win more than them!
3. Dave asked at the end, something like if you could ask for anything what would it be. He struggled answering this at first, but his exact quote was: "More of the same". I can't make this up. He is an administrator, and we need good administrators. He is a place holder. We need a CEO visionary type overseeing our huge athletic budget. We have a Bob Bowlsby at the helm. We need a Yormack. I use to get upset with Holder for airing out Gundy's dirty laundry to the media, but at least Holder had some balls. You can reel someone in if you want to, you can't grow them a pair.
4. Dave did not ask the most obvious question, nothing but softballs. That question is: What is OSU's policy towards NIL given the state of Oklahoma passing its own NIL laws relative to the NCAA' recent rules clarification on NIL? I am just curious to know OSU's position. I think I know, I just want to hear officially what it is.
Surely Chad was not put in place to cement Holder's legacy as our best AD ever, surely we looked for someone who could possibly build upon Holder's tenure and exceed what Holder did?
