Trump's Bragg case was a complete joke.
1) It shouldn't have ever been charged as misdemeanor. He was paying a lawyer he had been paying for years.
2) Elevating it to a felony with some arcane NY law is insane, given the judge didn't ever identify the underlying crime he was "furthering" by simply paying his lawyer.
Convicting someone of a felony that they were never charged with, never were able to defend themselves against, nor were ever even accused of (I'm talking about the underlying "crime") is a clear violation of Trump's constitutional due process rights. Bragg should at the very least be disbarred for this.
And you're right, they are violating another Constitutional right (speedy trial) by indefinitely delaying the sentencing so he can go win on appeal.
You want to know how ridiculous this is? Congress has a fvcking slush fund to pay off #metoo claimants.
