If you watch LivePD on TV you'll see quickly that a large number of people are out driving around with no DL, suspended DL's and no insurance.

This is a totally consistent policy for a state with our poverty and shitty education. Cons want a third world shithole so bad they can't stand it.

Let's give the dumbest, maddest. craziest elements among us the power of instant life or death over unsuspecting people.

Oklahoma: we may not have many teeth, but by Gawd we got the guns.

Is abolishing driver training next on the docket?

Forgive me for thinking maybe my community would be safer where law-abiding citizens receive some training in firearm safety than without it.

This strikes me as a move designed to make a point rather than one that actually makes society better.

People that carry in Oklahoma (now) with only the Constitution Carry requirements:
1. People that come here from existing constitutional carry states
2. Thugs

Dumb is thinking laws make us smarter or safer.

Gotta say -- saying "laws don't make us smarter or safer" is one of the dumbest things I've ever heard. I get that it's a constant refrain, but laws enable public education. Universities. Public awareness and health.

So should we do away with all these crimes (e.g. rape, burglary, DUI, child abuse, etc.) since they don't make anyone safer? That really is breathtakingly dumb.

Hot damn then. Between laws already on the books involving assault, negligence, manslaughter, murder, etc., you must agree that there's no need for gun-centric laws.

Because if you think gun control measures are needed, you have to acknowledge that all the other laws governing our behaviors towards each other don't really work.

States with looser carry laws have higher rates of gun deaths, according to a study done by Boston University School of Public Health.

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.wa...d-carry-laws-have-more-gun-deaths-study-says/

This was one wasted handle. Do better next time!!

Nine of the states studied had may-issue laws and 37 states had shall-issue laws. Four states had what is known as “permitless carry” laws, which allow residents to carry weapons out of sight without a license, but states with those laws were not included in the analysis.

Actually, I'm stuck on your first point that laws don't make anyone safer. You never really considered whether speed limits, product safety regulations, road and bridge construction standards, criminal laws.... just meaningless. You never thought of that angle? Really?

And "acknowledge that all the other laws governing our behaviors towards each other don't really work" is something I don't understand. So... if a guy rapes a girl, rape laws don't work, and nobody is safer?

OK, then let's do better in educating the rest of the population that will add to these groups.

What did you expect from a Boston University study? After all, they conferred a degree on AOC and she's a blithering idiot.

Laws don't forbid bad behavior, they outline the punishment for those that are caught and convicted.

Is the fear of punishment what keeps you from being a raper?

I'm not sure how that matters. Please explain how the presence of uneducated carriers invalidates educating Oklahoma residents.

The point that I am trying to make is that if you aren't currently worried about permittess carriers from other states, or maybe even aware that they are here, why would you be concerned about residents of our state carrying without a permit

It’s called liberty. Why do you hate liberty?

Right? Just want left alone to chew tobaccy and totechur guns?

Yes, they forbid bad behavior and the two aren't mutually exclusive. Not that it matters. Okay, let's assume this lil' piece of sophistry is relevant. What does that matter?

Let's get rid of speeding laws -- I see a guy just got pulled over. They obviously don't work.

Is the fear of punishment what keeps you from being a raper?

RapIST, not raper. Nah, violence isn't my thing. I can get sugar with my charms ;) You must be thinking of the incel crowd.

What's the difference? Laws are words, they aren't physical manifestations that curb the behavior of individuals. We're all on the honor system.

Most people don't behave better with more laws. They wouldn't turn in to rapists or murderers if you repealed laws. The people who commit these crimes give zero consideration of what the law says.

I want freedom and liberty. If I choose to do those things or any other damn thing I want, it’s none of your business as long as I don’t infringe on someone else.

Are you saying you think gun violence will go up or you just don’t like it?

At this point, fvck policy it's an embarrassment to the state. More moonshine and ignorance look for Oklahoma.
