All our guys start in the quarters again tomorrow. RBY's and McKenna's matches are both 8th in line on their respective mats. Bout board

I love the behind the scenes that OSU, stillyboys and the RTC put out. Curious how decisions for training partners are made. Interesting to see Dreshaun get the invite to work out Wyatt on this trip.
Also curious what the competition level for senior pan-am’s is? I’m slowly becoming familiar with international wrestling but if given the chance, I wonder if it takes a world class level to win or would a really good college guy also compete for gold (ie, Plott, Amine etc).
It could depend on the weight but traditionally it's not one of the higher level tournaments. No Russia, no Iran, no Japan, no former Soviet countries etc...
Rewind! He looked great getting the tech-pin, but he should bring back the stache

That made the 4 point double leg look benign. Dominant performance. His test will be at World Championships.

Here we go! RBY presses forward. He shoots, but Rodriquez fights him off. RBY keeps coming, gets a leg & finishes the TD, 2-0, no turns. Back to neutral. Rodriquez shoots. RBY counters with a front headlock, then spins behind for another TD, 4-0. Back to neutral. Circling, hand fighting & tying up. Rodriquez with a half shot. RBY gets another front headlock & spins behind for another TD, 6-0. Back to neutral. RBY shoots a blast double & finishes another TD, 8-0, as they go out of bounds. Back to neutral. Circling & hand fighting. Rodriquez gets warned for hands to the face. RBY pushes forward & has Rodriquez near the edge. Rodriquez circles back in & RBY shoots. He hits what looked like a fireman's carry & adds another TD w/exposure for the 12-0 Tech!

Period 1:
Circling & hand fighting. McKenna shoots a low single, but can't get to the leg. He drives forward & Destribats counters with a front headlock. McKenna has Destribats near the edge. Destribats tries a throw, but they go out of bounds. Step out point McKenna, 1-0. Back to neutral. Tying up & pushing. McKenna shoots, Destribats gets a front headlock & it's a stalemate. Back to neutral. McKenna shoots off the whistle, but Destribats circles away. Destribats reaches for a low single, but can't get there. Destribats gets a passivity warning. McKenna shoots a double & gets in deep, but Destribats locks around the chest & sprawls hard. McKenna drives Destribats out, but no points. Back to neutral. Circling & hand fighting. McKenna shoots & gets a leg, but Destribats kicks free. McKenna shoots & gets a leg. Destribats locks through the crotch & time expires without any scoring. 1-0 McKenna

Back to action. Hand fighting & tying up. McKenna shoots & gets a low leg. Destribats counters & locks around the waist. Stoppage & McKenna gets warned for something. McKenna shoots, Destribats locks around the chest & tries to hit a Dake bomb, but doesn't have the power. But, he comes out on top for the TD, 3-0 & then gets a quick pin called. McKenna is challenging.
Challenge won & the fall is waived off. We're back to action. The score is 3-0. McKenna drives forward & gets a step out, 3-1. Back to neutral. McKenna shoots, but can't get there. He takes Destribats to the edge, but Destribats drops to his knees in the zone. Stoppage & restart, no scoring. McKenna jumps the whistle, restart. McKenna presses forward. Destribats gets a 2nd passivity call & goes on the clock. McKenna shoots, but can't get there. McKenna shoots again, but no luck. He shoots again & gets an ankle. Destribats locks around the waist. His opponent didn’t wrestle for 6:50 and won somehow so hats off to that wizardry. Joey had too many good shots not finished for points. It’s pretty bad that the Argentine only got put on the clock halfway through the second. Bro did nothing. Good example of when Freestyle rules suck.
He might be the second best wrestler in this hemisphere outside of the USA that he ragdolled!
That was kinda my point…the weight class designation eludes to his “grown” status.
I don't think he was even the best 125kg in Canada. Amar Dhesi made the past two Olympics and has a win over Gwiz
I thought that was Desi. Just saw Canada and assumed.
