I did to. There were only 3 cartons left and all the dozen cartons were gone. No one gives a $hit about the price of eggs.
Getting ready to scramble 5 eggs right now for some breakfast burritos. cost us only 2.00 for a dozen, my only neighbor has chickens and gave them to us at a good deal.

Find a farmer or a hobbyist.
We pay $3/dzn from a lady at work who has 30 hens, and they are the best, freshest eggs Iāve ever had. She even delivers them to the break room fridge.
When in San Antone I have such a friend, we barter my jerky for his eggs. I spend a lot of time in Rockport these days though. You're right, can't beat them free range eggs. š
Wait till your wife cracks open an egg and sees blood in it. Doesn't happen often but occasionally we will get an egg from a friend of ours that has blood in it. My city girl wife freaks out.
Its amazing that after 2 years of the media telling us the economy was great, inflation was transitory, and that common folk just didn't understand the economy, they suddenly NOW care that eggs cost $8/carton. Hmm...wonder what changed?

Nobody( in general not this board) is making people buy eggs. There are a lot of things you can eat that donāt require eggs. There are weeks I go and donāt use an egg. People are so stupid to fall for the constant main stream media bringing this up now. The only reason they bring this up now is that it fits their narrative to hurt the new administration. If demand falls so does price, but continue to gripe about something you donāt have to buy.
Well I for one am an egg eating fool, scrambled, fried, boiled, poached. Anytime of the day. Of course I'm willing to pay. Eggs are good for you then tomorrow their not, then their good for you again then the next day their not again.

I still pay $4.32 for my sausage, egg and cheese bisquit daily at Hell-Of-A-Burger. It hasnt gone up 10 mills, better known as a penny.
I live 4 blocks from Hell-Of-A-Burger, better known as What-A-Burger. I eat breakfast there most days.
Hamburgers ended there for me about 4 years ago when they changed owners.
We use whole cream instead of milk to get a similar fluffiness.
If you really want some good eggs, shred some left over brisket, sautƩ some chopped onions, shred a little bit of cheddar cheese, a touch of garlic salt and add to the eggs. Heavenly.
I always put in the cheddah but them onyon messes up my gut, can eat onion rings sometimes only because I love em but even then its iffy.
