LEADING OFF
No. 18 Texas Tech (25-15, 9-6 Big 12) welcomes No. 9 Oklahoma State (27-13, 10-5 Big 12) for a Big 12 showdown this weekend, April 24-26, at Rip Griffin Park. The series opener is set for Friday (6:37 p.m.) with a televised audience on FOX College Sports - Atlantic. The final game of the series on Sunday (2:07 p.m.) will be televised on FCS - Pacific. Tech enters in third place in the Big 12 standings while OSU is tied with Oklahoma for the top spot. Tech has won seven of its last eight and 10 of its last 15 games overall. The Red Raiders defeated ACU on a neutral field in Midland on Tuesday (10-2). Tech opens its final homestand with five straight games starting Friday. Tech will recognize its senior class prior to Sunday's game as Tim Proudfoot, Bryant Burleson, Cameron Smith, Corey Taylor, Dominic Moreno and Heath Herringtonwill be honored. OSU is coming off a five-game homestand (3-2) while having gone 9-8 away from home this season.
