Softball season is heading for the postseason without the Cowgirls. The conference standings looked like this:

So a team that was in the WCWS in 2011 is now able to come up with only 3 wins in Big XII play. This is embarassing, and Rich Wieligman needs to be let go.

Tripp Mackay, former OSU baseballer, is on the OU softball staff. He is the hitting coach and OU's Lauren Chamberlain just recently set the NCAA career home run record with 91, passing Stacey Nuveman's 90 at UCLA several years back. I'm sure Mackay had at least a little to do with this record. Why not spend a little money and bring him back to Stillwater?

I'd like to think that the Athletic Director feels that if we are sponsoring a sport, we may as well win it. He has been around OSU long enough to remember when OSU softball was consistently among the national elite, so he knows it can be done. Spend the money, get Tripp here from OU and break up their staff, and let's get the Cowgirls back to the top of the league. Do it immediately.
