"Original Sin" Doctrine

The "Original Sin" doctrine of the American Left holds that America is a rotten, racist society because slavery was once practiced here. Despite the fact that 99% of Americans never owned slaves, white people today are expected to feel guilt for slavery and future generations are expected to atone for it. All the good that America has accomplished (hundreds of thousands of whites dying to end slavery, destroying the Nazis and Japanese, billions and billions of dollars to countries in need, incredible technological advances which have made life easier and drastically increased life expectancy for all humans) does not matter. America is guilty of the original sin of slavery and needs to repent.

What is quite striking about the American Left is that they do not hold other cultures to this standard. Doesn't matter that the Mongols massacred an estimated 40 million people (an incredible 10% of the world population) while conquering most of the world. Or that the Turks murdered about 1.5 million Armenians about 100 years ago. Or that Russian Jews orchestrated a famine which killed between 7-10 million Ukranian Christians in 1932 and 1933. The sins of those cultures are forgotten and those cultures are judged by their positive achievements. A completely different standard than for white people in America.

Are there still "Mongols"? If so, are they direct descendants of the ones who "massacred and estimated 40 million people"? If so, what the eff do you think "the left" should be doing about it? Protesting for reparations from descendants of the "Mongols"? If they don't do that, they are being hypocritical?

Why should the "left" concern themselves with all injustices, that occurred in other countries, decades/centuries ago? If they don't do that, why should it preclude them from championing a cause that actually happened in this country?

Or, should the average liberal save all of his/her money until he/she has enough to fly to China/Bangladesh/wherever, and protest the treatment of the slaves you mentioned?
