I don't know if this will happen or even makes sense, but it does sound plausible. Israel will invade southern Lebanon and will make significant strides into the mountains. There different infantry troops will get bogged down in valleys, isolated and trapped, unable to escape and unable to rearm. The PR campaign will be all about how deep into Lebanon the Israelis penetrated, the UN will demand a cease fire, and Israel will sign off on it, pull the trapped troops back home and declare victory.
