Well hello all of you back in the great state of Oklahoma, “God’s Country.”
In anticipation of the Oklahoman invasion of the valley of the sun, I was sent by Ghetto, inc. last summer to leave my humble abode in Stillwater, America; and establish residence here in the desert. Since then, I have acquired housing just blocks from Sun Devil Stadium (home of the Insight Bowl), and employment blocks from the University of Phoenix Stadium (home of the Fiesta Bowl).
**A side note, and a little known fact about the U of Phoenix Stadium. When the stadium was being built, and the naming rights were being bid upon, a quaint Mexican restaurant located in Scottsdale, known as “The Pink Taco” (look it up) almost placed the winning bid on the naming rights, coming close to changing the face of stadium naming (and unintentional comedy) forever. Imagine that, the Sooners coming in to play at The Pink Taco. Gee, takes you back to the Switzer days, doesn’t it?
Anyway, because of the forethought of Highstick, JD, olstater, Ghost and the rest of the Ghetto, inc. brass, I am now firmly entrenched in “The Valley” and can bring to you for the next week or so, a running blog of my observations, thoughts, activites, and other goings-on that take place, so that you back in the great plains can get a feel of what is going on here.
Anyone else fortunate enough to make the trip is more than welcome to make there own observations here. Also, if anyone has any questions or requests, feel free to post them, and I will try to get to them as soon as possible.
So, all you Cowboys, ok, and Sooners too (well, the ones that can read), please enjoy, as I hope to not disappoint…
