OK STATE VS. VIRGINIA TECH THURSDAY 1/19

I don't think I've ever seen anyone expose their own back going for a takedown as Fish in that match
Great start that switched quick in the last 2 matches. Really impressed with Spratley getting 2 takedowns, an escape and riding time and then last second gets a 2 point near fall for the major. This was against the 4th rated 25 in the country. Witcraft with a solid win over a freshman for a major. Very strong match by Tagen for a major over a good opponent. Carter scrambles and battles the takedown attempt by Henson and gets pinned. Carter did not seem to feel the trouble he was getting into. Carter Young has had a tough schedule but has not shown he is All American material so far. Fish made several giant mistakes that cost him the match. Fish didn't seem to know his opponent.

Hamiti is in that tier with KOT and Levi
Amine wins a solid decision but should have gotten a major if he would have pushed for it in the 3rd. Then we have Hamiti who put on a clinic beating the 4th rated 174 by tech in 2 periods. The ankle pick just seemed so easy for Dean tonight. If his opponent is not very tall Hamiti destroys them.

Dustin gets a last second takedown for the tech of VT's backup 184. I will say the back up was strong and a battler. Surber scrambles for the winning takedown in over time. Smith had a real good shot and I thought Luke was in big trouble before he out scrambled his opponent. Then we have Hendrickson who wins by 1st period pin after almost giving up the takedown but scrambled and got it. Then pounded Catka and barred the arm, turned him and got the pin.
