Smith was not able to make weight. Overall, I thought we wrestled rusty but no real disappointments. Crutch got his fall early in the first so do not know about his shape but he looked powerful and strong. The only one I thought was gassed and that only late was Weigel who dominated on the mat as usual. Pic looked solid and had 13-0 lead going into the 2nd period before another takedown early in the 2nd ended the match. I thought Kaid Brock although dominant looked rusty. He looked very slick on three shrug takedowns but not as sharp in other aspects of his wrestling and probably understandable after a long lay off. Heil looked workmanlike but not sharp in his match. Jonce Blaylock looked outstanding filling in for Anthony who was there BTW after his great match yesterday. Davey probably had very short notice filling in for Joe and got the first takedown but had no other moves after that. Chandler had an opponent that did not want to get close or tie up and yet Chandler hit two very slick moves for takedowns and also countered another takedown attempt into a takedown of his own. . Nolan dominated but tried too hard for turns and got a lot of riding time instead of points. Austin Schafer looked very good and is much bigger but still muscular and lean. All in All, a very good first match particularly with two AA's on the bench.Schafer cut his opponent late in the third to go for another takedown otherwise he would have had a major.

I agree with Obe on everything he said but I have a few things to add; Brock looked solid but rusty (as he said) however, although his shrug is one of the best I've seen, I've not seen him make any other move for a take down, albeit in just a few matches. Chandler was again, fun to watch; toward the end of the match while on top he tried some crazy (high school) hold to turn the guy that made me laugh, and then tried it again which drew a laugh from me again along with a few people around me; Crazy. Boyd looked like Boyd; strong and solid until he pulled his one dumb-ass bad move (let's call it a Nolan) but didn't loss the match. Schafer looked huge compared to last year but still needs to get bigger. Joe was on the end of the bench in his streets; BTW who was the very large black young man setting next to Joe throughout the match?
