This Saturday at 6 CST on Flo. What matchup are you most looking forward to? Surprised we didn't have any guys invited (or maybe we did and declined?)

I don't see how the Starocci/Keckeisen match isn't he biggest for sure, but Nasir Bailey might be my favorite non OSU guy

Van Ness vs Watters is interesting. Garvin vs Hall will be an exciting match and they will definitely get into some funky scrambles. And Feldman vs Taye they split matches last year. Feldman looks to have jumped a level or 2 so excited for this one

(Caveat, I don’t know or follow many of these wrestlers, specially the non-blue blood schools and smaller conferences, so occasionally/often, I’m taking a shot in the dark)
125: #3 Jore Volk if he wrestles to his potential

133: #2 Nasir Bailey, Little Rock i think Bailey is better

141: #3 Beau Bartlett, Penn State, he doesn’t lose

149: #2 Shayne Van Ness, Penn State

157: #5 Peyten Kellar, Ohio, because a wrestler from a small school to get noticed, is difficult and he must be good

165: #3 Hunter Garvin, Stanford he’s tough

174: #3 Cade DeVos, SDSU I like the under dog and refer back to 157lbs, plus he’s a good wrestler

184: vs #2 Parker Keckeisen, Northern Iowa, he’s dang tough and refer back to 157lbs and to 174lbs (match of the night and many may consider him the underdog) hope he wins

197: #5 Stephen Little, Little Rock what’s not to like, plus he’s from KY, my home state

285: #7 Taye Ghadiali, Campbell. refer back to 157lbs, 174lbs, and 184lbs

Match order will start 197 give me
197 Little
Hwt Feldman
125 Volk
133 Bailey
141 Mendez
149 Van Ness
157 Kasak
165 Hall ( Garvin beat him 14-4 at NCAA)
174 Haines
184 Carter

165 might be the most difficult to pick. Garvin has looked good early on but has been gassing and Hall has a good tank.

OT. TD on edge. Thought Keck would battle it off but Star as able to finish
It looked like Keck was resting a bit since they were on the edge, but regardless, it took unreal strength from Starocci to suck that leg in.

Frustrating part is that his OT shot was the only offensive move Starocci made the entire match. His defense and riding are just so good that all he has to do on his feet is push forward to avoid/create stall calls.

It was weird seeing Keck look VERY human.

The same exact thing I said every time DT wrestled Dake. Sometimes a guy's defense and situational awareness are just too good to overcome. People think Carter is more of an offense guy, and he is, but he has a tremendous defense. I read elsewhere that he has faced four previous or current champions and has only given up one point combined in those four matchups. Last night being the one point.
