Got awful news this morning that our 15-month old English Setter, McLintock, has Parvo. He is a very active and healthy dog. We noticed him not eating yesterday and what he did attempt to eat, he couldn't keep down. He has been drinking and keeping that down. Local vets have given us a good prognosis, but thoughts from the vets on the board would help my brain health.

Vet thinks if he is eating and keeping things down and not getting dehydrated, we should be all good after 48-72 hours. Sent us home after giving him some fluids and some special "stomach friendly" foods. Hoping he can beat this crap, particularly since he is fully vaccinated.

Thanks.

Been a rough 2+ years for us from a human and animal health perspective. This morning didn't help an already shit start to the year for us, although CCL surgery got an all clear for one of the other dogs.
