Sharing this in case you are coming for a visit this summer. Park Rangers and federal agents are getting close to no tolerence right now. So be prepared if you are coming and make sure to follow the rules because if you don't it can and will be very expensive.

Most of you probably heard about the first incident over the July 4 weekend where an active shooter was confronted and killed at Canyon Village. Turns out the guy who worked for Xanterra (commercial contractor). was planning a mass shooting in the park. The actual gun battle occurred between the cabins and contractor housing.

Yesterday, a car drove off into a thermal feature near Roaring Mountain. Luckily the feature was not overly hot and the passengers escaped with non-life threatening injuries.

My son was headed to West Yellowstone on business. He came across several Park police that had a car pulled over just before the southern entrance of Gallatin Canyon. Drug related (not pot).

There have been multiple reports of people leaving boardwalks and wondering into sensitive and unsafe thermal areas. Also a number of incidents involving people getting mixed up or to close to animals. Huge cases of terminal dumbass.
