I was finishing one of my favorites this evening while finishing up some work at home tonight. I got to thinking I wonder what you idiots tops 5 movies are. I feel this helps us understand each other better and brings a little lightness to the board. Alright here we go:

1: Braveheart
2: Jurassic Park
3: Dances with Wolves
4: The Ghost and The Darkness (movie I am watching man this is great)
5: Super Troopers

Godfather 1
Stalag 17 -with William Holden 1953. (Hogans heroes came to be because of this movie) movie is way better.
Goodfellas
Good, Bad and the Ugly
Patton

Hard to name just 5 of my favs because I like a bunch just as much as these but these would be mine.

1. Patton
2. Outlaw Josey Wales
3. Godfather Redux (1&2, re-edited as a single movie in chronological order, with deleted footage added)
4. Forrest Gump
5. Good fellas.

Honorable Mention: Saving Private Ryan and Gladiator, for their opening battle recreations, but the “meat” of the movies left me somewhat unsatisfied.

Field of Dreams (was a MASSIVE baseball fan back in the day)
Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves
Indiana Jones: The Last Crusade (LOVE Raiders, but enjoyed this one more)
Blazing Saddles (you just cannot go wrong with Mel Brooks movies...this one is my favorite of them)
To Kill a Mockingbird

There are so many others, and this top 5 probably changes regularly, but Field of Dreams will always be on my top 5, and Robin Hood: PoT for nostalgia as I watched the hell out of that movie in middle school.

Impossible to name 5 when there are hundreds of them.

The Vengeance trilogy from Korea

Infernal Affairs...the Departed is based on this film and its so much better.

Sunset Blvd

Time Bandits....saw it at the exact right age and it was magical

My Fair Lady

JAWS...saw it in the theater at 6 and was horrified

Gator, White Lightning, Smokey and The Bandit and Longest Yard.

Lots of good ones in this thread. These aren't the 5 greatest movies, but I'm judging it by movies I still stop and watch whenever I catch them on no matter how many times I've seen them:

Shawshank
Gladiator
Arthur: Legend of the Sword
Basic
Spaceballs

Only innocent man at Shawshank. Get busy living.....or get busy dying
