I see that the Tx guv is gonna have a round table this week to get some solutions to these shootings -- Texas certainly is well represented now. Santa Fe shooting, the last church shooting, the Dallas cops, the Ft. Hood deal... they're the reddest, most firearm friendly, most redneck state out there and are setting the pace for these mass murders.

So the Santa Fe school had TWO cops with guys on patrol and was a "hardened" target. They already implemented some by-gawd Texas, no bullshit policies in this school system and... well we see. Now what? Maybe a gun in every class instead of just the school? Maybe machine gun nests at the end of hallways?

What would you propose that would have stopped this?

I've said 4723 times on here -- look to the countries that don't have this stuff. Or make providers of the guns civilly liable. Real licensure and background checks. Prospective ban on manufacture and sale of semi-autos.

Where was a semi auto used in Texas?

The kid that did this put his hammer and sickle pen on his long jacket and broke several laws stealing a gun and bringing explosives to the school.

Make a new law? He broke the law.

Yes, make a new law. Are all laws the same now?

I don't know which gun was used. Whoever owned whatever gun was used should be strictly liable, though. Of course, the NRA got that immunity pushed through Congress, so that's off the table.

Why do you only post about school shootings where mostly white kids are shot and spend no time on black kids being shot by other blacks? Why don’t you have a passion for something that happens at a much higher rate? They need advocates too but your outrage is held for the sensationalism of these mostly white schools.

Because I have a job and lack the time that you have to sit down and deconstruct the ethnicity of every mass shooting victim. It was a public school with victims of all races. The Charlotessville MAGA idiot ran over a black guy, didn't he? The white supremacist shot up a black church -- I find that awful. The black guy in Dallas that shot up the cops was awful. You're inserting race into this gratuitously.

Less than 200 victims in school shootings in 20 years. You don’t have the time to think about the thousands of black victims of gang violence? Sad.

Your outrage follows where the press tells you to put it instead of where the real problems are.

As usual, you misrepresent the other's position to make an imaginary point. Now only school shootings. I'm fine with all the theaters, nightclubs, quick stops, churches that get shot up, apparently. Homes don't count either. Compare all black victims of gangs with only kids in schools. You're a moron from the ground up -- that's such a clumsy, wingnut approach. You make that up, or hear it from Stynx666?

You just don’t care and that’s fine because look how cnn tells you to act. They don’t run the stories about black on black genocide. It’s not as sexy as a movie theatre or a kid with a confederate flag. You are part of a whole group that gets told what to think and how to be outraged. I’m not mad at you, I pity you and your mini toon.

Exactly zero of what you posted would have prevented this shooting and the majority of school shootings over the past several decades.

So, if it’s so easy to stop, and Republicans are the reason it won’t happen, why didn’t Obama and a dem controlled congress get it done. How many more dead children are there because of his and Chuck and Nancy’s inaction?

1982 - 2005 saw 39 mass shootings
2006 - 2018 has seen 61 mass shootings so far

You fvcktards need to start asking different questions and quit chasing your tails over guns and punishing law abiding citizens.

There’s obviously a lot more going on than gun ownership being the problem.

“Ban all semi-autos” fvcking stupid

The Santa Fe shooter used a shotgun and revolver

Guess what, the second isn’t going anywhere.

it’s the one amendment that guarantees all others.

Then why did those other countries not have these problems? You just vapor lock when confronted with data.

once again. A broken record offering no solutions - only approved tribal agendas. boring.

We have to make these schools a hard target. I like the idea of locating police precincts in or next to schools.

This fantasy of the left that gun control will stop these shootings is ridiculous. 300+ million guns in this country and a lawless country on our southern boader. There is no law that is going to keep guns out the hands of determined murderers.

A good guy with a gun is what stops a bad guy with a gun and this is a documented fact.

There's less school shootings (proportionally) and victims today than there was 10, 15, and 20 years ago.

Sad event(s) but this isn't a new epidemic. There are logical steps to take to help prevent these types of things.

More focus should be spent on the human aspect of being student and less on the extracurricular, academic part.

2006 - current - 61

Incidentally, Mexico had a 23% increase in murders last year, and their highest amount in 20 years.

But Democrat politicians and celebrities — with armed guards, who send their kids to private schools — say that building a southern wall is “racist.”

Maybe we should follow London's example?
