New York Times Reporters Blast Dems over Trump Dossier Funding Claims

“Tom Perez and the new leadership of the DNC were not involved in any decision-making regarding Fusion GPS, nor were they aware that Perkins Coie was working with the organization," said DNC spokeswoman Xochitl Hinojosa.

sounds like my kids pointing fingers lol

This story clearly shows the bias of the NYT. How many stories have they published regarding Trump on the backs of anonymous sources and then stood behind their story and sources when the denials start flying. Yet clearly this story was not published by the NYT, simply because their chosen party denied its accuracy and pushed back 'vigorously'. This to me is the real story. Its basically validating that they chose to quit being impartial media.

I don't believe there is much impartial media anywhere...if it ever actually existed.

I think media has always had bias. Just look in cities that have (or had) multiple newspapers. For example, DMN vs. FW Star-Telegram. They slanted their stories to fit a more left or right leaning slant. But its only been in the most recent times that the media has been this blatant in its disregard for impartiality. The media didn't sweep the Bill Clinton stories under the rug, they were reported on fairly and reasonable. I think the media treated Bush fairly. But Obama was given absolute kid gloves in his coverage and Trump has been public enemy #1. So now the media is more about reporting their side's stories and positions (and omitting alternatives), rather than just slanting the truth one way or another.

Let me phrase it a different way. In 2008, when you watched Obama get elected the first time, how many of the reporters did you know based on their coverage which candidate they voted for? Go watch the youtube videos if you don't recall. Now look at the 2016 election, and ask yourself the same question. I guarantee you will notice a stark difference in the news media's behavior and the complete foregoing of impartial reporting.

Can you quote where I gave credibility to this dossier or claimed there was no way the left or DNC wasn't involved in its collection?

I bet you can't.

I will wait for your response off the air.

You got me. It's refreshing to see those on this board who've had a 8-month-long boner for the Mueller charade equally outraged over Hillary Clinton colluding with the Russians to rig the election against Trump. I give credit where credit is due.

You are full of it.

I have neither had an 8 month long boner for the Mueller investigation, nor have I ever expressed outrage over opposition research by anyone, including Trump on Hillary. Nor have I ever given any credibility to the allegations in the dossier. For that matter, I've never definitively claimed or asserted that Trump colluded with the Russians.

Rank hypocrites like yourself want to try to make it seem like everyone is as hypocritical as they are.

That ain't gonna fly here. It's a lie.

It's obvious they funneled all this through a law firm so they could protect themselves from disclosure.

Donald Jr. had one meeting with a Russian lawyer who said she had dirt on Hillary and Dems were screaming treason! But the DNC can purchase questionable dirt supplied to an ex-British spy by the Russians and it's just opposition research.

I hope the DNC got their 9 million worth of pee pee stories.

Debbie Whatshername Schultz, who was head of the DNC at the time the DNC paid Marc Elias, the lawyer for the DNC and Clinton Campaign, some $3 million destined for Fusion GPS, claims she had no knowledge of the payment.

John Podesta, campaign manager for the Clinton Campaign, told a Congressional committee that he, too, had no knowledge of the $6 million +/- the Clinton Campaign paid to Elias destined for Fusion GPS. Ironically, sitting next to Podesta during the committee inquiry of him, was his attorney, Marc Elias, the conduit of these payments.

How can both not know of these sizable expenditures by the organizations they headed? It appears both Schultz and Podesta learned the ole "I don't recall" dance quite well from Hildebitch.

You said very early on that an investigation into Trump/Russia was necessary, but I have never seen you assert that an investigation is necessary into Clinton/Russia. Have you changed your mind?

Interestingly enough, it appears Fusion GPS did work for the same Russian attorney that Donald Jr. met with. Hmmmmm.

That is indefensible. Have you heard of the Spanish American war?

Donald Jr. had one meeting with a Russian lawyer who said she had dirt on Hillary and Dems were screaming treason!

LOL you can create more strawmen than... um... a strawman factory. Whatever, what prominent Dem labeled that meeting as treasonous?

1. What I said was that the investigation into Trump/Russia was legally appropriate under the reasonable suspicion standard.

2. You must have conveniently missed when I said an investigation into Clinton Foundation/Russia connections would be legally appropriate under that same standard...because I did.

No, I haven't changed my mind with regards to either of those assertions.

Politics is so incredibly incestuous it's not even funny.

What scares me is how integrated into the justice system that these incestuous politics reside. I had railed previously on how blantantly Democratic Eric Holder had been and Lynch was even worse, but that was just the appointed AG. I had no inkling how embedded these political fellows were to the FBI, CIA, and other supposedly non-partisan agencies were. But its clear how closely tied the leaders of each of these orgs is (or was) to the Podesta Group and other very political bodies. To be honest, the election of Trump, and the Dems trotting out intelligence official after intelligence official, then details of association between Mueller, Comey and a slew of others, brought my attention to a whole new level of swamp that I had no idea even existed.

The criminal justice system is also incredibly incestuous. People becoming prosecutors early to get experience then switching to criminal defense to make the money....lawyers becoming judges in courtrooms they previously practiced as lawyers in...judges taking election contributions from lawyers that practice before them.

Hell, I have had a pretty incestuous relationship with the criminal justice system myself. Started with nine years in private practice as a criminal defense lawyer. Fell in love with and married a police officer. The last two of those nine as a criminal defense lawyer were after I was married to my wife. Had occasions where I had partied with her partners in special projects on the weekend then raked them over the coals in cross examination on Monday. Took phone calls from potential clients caught in "ho patrol" prostitution stings and had to tell them it might have been my wife that arrested them. Shit got weird until I (as my wife says) I came over from the Dark Side.

I did it all wrong...started in private practice and took a pay cut to enter public service instead of the reverse path.

Don't kid yourself...that swamp has always existed...whether it was Republicans or Democrats in the White House appointing those positions.
