We need changes in at least 2 phases.
How can we be satisfied by a couple stops a game? Defense gives up 1200+ yards in 2 losses prior to this week. We don’t even talk about letting a 4th string QB at Iowa St marching up and down the field on us.
Special teams is statistically the worst in 20 years. This is hard to wrap my head around. We have basically taken a knee in all phases of ST (return, punts, kicks) hoping we don’t make a mistake. Pathetic for a perennial top 20 team.
We don’t have talent of Ohio St or Texas but our talent and depth HAVE improved the last 5-7 years yet results are generally the same on defense. Our offense often has elite weapons yet we spin our wheels half the time not even attempting the attack the defense.
I’m one of the biggest Mike Gundy supporters/defenders but Oklahoma State is better than this. Players, fans, boosters deserve better.. in at least 2 phases.
