Preston Weigel is ranked on both the Coaches Poll and the RPI. Does that mean it has been decided he will wrestle in the post-season?

I haven't had a chance to look closely, but seems like big 12 should have 5 at 197. Smith, noone, rotert, Weigel and Johnson are all ranked in RPI and coaches.

The cutoff is variable and I don't think it went down for enough for Johnson. Here's my guesses for who got it at each weight.

Preston Weigel is ranked on both the Coaches Poll and the RPI. Does that mean it has been decided he will wrestle in the post-season?

That is a thorny subject, but near as I can tell it means that Weigel was submitted (Rogers too) as our starter for the post-season. This can change between now and Big 12s, but we would lose the AQ spot if someone goes other than the wrestler who earned it. It would behoove the coaches to submit the guy that they are taking, but they can't submit both so, if they don't know for sure, they might be taking their best guess.

Long story short, its a good clue, but not 100%.
