I brought it up because its the only legitimate threat that Iran could pose to Israeli forces. And I clearly stated why that wasn't feasible. Your response was launch thousands of rockets at once. They've tried that. In the 6 hours the rockets take to get to Israel, they are vulnerable, and so would be Iran. Iran wouldn't live long enough to even see that most of their attack would fail miserably to the defensive capabilities of Iran and the U.S.
12 minutes is considerably faster than 6 hours.
We seem to be arguing past each other. I take it you think Israel (with the help of Uncle Sam, of course) could destroy Iran without consequence, while Iran has no such capability. I argue that even if Israel (with the help of Uncle Sam, of course) had the capability to “turn Iran into glass,” as many on this board claim, once the Iranian leadership saw what was about to happen they would unleash their entire arsenal toward Israel, an arsenal that purportedly numbers in the tens of thousands. Considering the success of the recent Iranian attack by 180 missiles, one should be able to predict what would happen to Israel if there were 10 times that amount headed their way. Both countries would have the same fate. I don’t want to see that happen.

Neither of us know what capability Iran possesses. I read somewhere recently that Iran is preparing to retaliate for Israel’s recent retaliation because of Iran’s previous retaliation because of Israel’s provocations with 400+ missiles. At some point the Iranians are going to mimic Israel's tactic of targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure with their missiles. I don’t want that to happen.

But if what these people say is even minimally true it should sow a seed of doubt in the belief that the IDF is unbeatable. A seed of doubt is a great place to start before humiliation takes over.
