Have the 2017 Hate Crime numbers been released? I know from the 2016 numbers that Hate Crimes had increased in 2016 and 2015 but I wasn't aware of Trump being in office then. I'm sure they have increased in 2017 as well, just hadn't seen the numbers released. Seems like hate has been on the rise for the past few years. Also, I couldn't find anywhere online showing where white nationalist groups enrollment has exploded; is this something they handed out to you at your last meeting? That kind of seems like an internal document they would hand out.

In 2016 there were approximately 6200 hate crimes committed or 16/day. So out of 323 million people each day 16 people are going to be a victim of a hate crime or 322,999,984 people each day are not going to be a victim of a hate crime each day. Even if the number does increase and I do wish we would all treat each other better and I can easily say I've never been party to any hate crime but to me it just seems like a trigger word that is meant to spark irrational outrage in folks.

I said when they first started hate crime legislation it was stupid. We had laws on the books for murder, assault, etc...why should a crime against anyone be considered more "hateful" based on race, religion, sexual orientation? Another way the libs just practice racism against everyday people who could careless what race, religion, or sexual orientation one is. Murder is murder, assault is assault. JUST ENFORCE THE LAWS ALREADY ON THE BOOKS SOMETHING LIBS DO NOT GET.

I'm so glad I clicked on the 'show ignored content' button so I can respond to this. It is hard to break you your incoherent ramblings into discrete segments but I'll try.

The 'left are the ones' isn't bullshit. Race and the perception that there is continued systematic, institutional racism against blacks, Hispanics, and other minorities is a core tenant of their political platform. They monger that collective fear in order to keep those population segments voting for those in the left despite repeated proof that the left's enacted policies have had and continue to have a detrimental affect on those voting blocks.

Yes, both sides of the isle have individuals that are racist. For you to claim one side is worse than the other is arguing which shade of grey is the prettiest.

Your problem is that you can't separate an individual and their specific actions (both positive and negative) from your preconceived collective identity of them. To you I'm just another hillbilly, red neck racist whitey. That's such a simplistic and fundamentally ignorant designation. Frankly, it's lazy. But any other world view would force you to analyze and evaluate an individual on their individual merits as opposed to blanketing them with a common label.

It's you and your lefty brethren who've lost the meaning of MLK's dream speech. Yes some on the right never had it and never will. What's sad is the left used to understand. But because it doesn't fit their lazy world view,they've chosen to abandon MKL's vision of a colorblind society.

I don't expect you to understand this as you have no self awareness or introspection. Lastly, I don' t care enough about your opinions to further reply. So get some barb in that you think is whitty by simply further cements your total lack of comprehension to the rest of the thinking world.

Fascinating reply. I wonder if you could expand on your assertion that white nationalist recruitment has exploded since Trump began campaigning. What were the numbers when he began campaigning, and what are they now? The same with hate crimes. Numbers before, and numbers now? Please do not use statistics from the Southern Poverty Law Center. They are as rabidly partisan as you claim Fox News to be. I look forward to your response.

I hope that if your child is about to be murdered someone does something about it besides bitch and act sanctimonious. I would pray that an M.D. of all people would have the integrity to respond with action instead of complaining about it. Let me be the first to salute the moral courage of people that scream "MURDER!" and then sit on their ass about it. Why aren't you doing something about it, Dr? Or are you? Hell seems to me being a Dr. you'd be the guy to really do something about it.

The number of hate crimes in 13 cities with a population of over 250,000 rose to 827 incidents, up 19.9 percent from 690 reported during the same period last year, according to the study. Only two cities - Columbus, Ohio, and Riverside, California - posted declines.

Among the nation’s six largest cities, including New York City, Los Angeles and Chicago, the number of hate incidents increased to 526 from 431 last year, up 22.4 percent, according to the study.

In New York City, hate crimes jumped 28.4 percent; in Los Angeles by 13 percent; in Philadelphia by 9 percent; in Chicago, by 8.3 percent, and in Phoenix, Arizona, by a whopping 46 percent. Houston, the nation’s No. 4 city, bucked the trend, reporting five incidents through July 31, the same number as last year.

Major hate crimes reported this year included the stabbing of an African-American man in New York City in March; the fatal stabbing of two men protecting a hijab-wearing Muslim woman in Portland, Oregon in May; and the killing of a protester in Charlottesville, Virginia last month.

All were committed by “avowed white supremacists,” said Brian Levin, director of the hate and extremism studies center in California.

If 2017 ends with an overall increase, it would mark the third consecutive annual rise in hate crimes, something not seen since 2004, according to Levin said.

I’m somewhat embarrassed to admit that this is a relatively new crisis on my radar. Could you please explain to me what is a hate crime? What is a white nationalist? Can only white nationalists commit a hate crime? We could probably have a more rational conversation if we have our terms defined.

Is the Ofirmev a cost thing? Just curious how use varies region to region.

Ketamine is definitely good for taking the fight out of people. We're using it at 0.1 to 0.2 mg/kg for acute pain management in place of opiates. The medics think it does a better job without any negatives. I've got a study going to see if that's the case or if it's anecdotal.
