I respect the fact the Trump Administration admits a mistake and Mike Walz has taken full responsivity for it. That's very rare in politics today. I would like to verify if this journalist portrayal of the chat is correct though. He has a very questionable history.

I have been wondering how long it would take for this to be mentioned on the board. Colossal f-up, and if the "other side" did this (which...they have), the MAGA here would be losing their minds (as they did, rightfully so with the Dems screwed up). Reading the additional messages in today's Atlantic, I think the journalist's tone description was fairly accurate. They f-ed up, did it on a likely not-legal platform, denied it, then confirmed it, then attacked the source. Do better next time. I am rooting heavily for Tulsi, but she needs to own it (Hegseth as well) and make it better.

Fidelity to a movement does not ever mean licking someone's ass.....as bronco said this was really a dumb mistake, but hardly a colossal mistake. Bet it won't happen again though. The only person I would trust to enter phone numbers on my mobile is my dogs, anyone else no thanks. I would find time to do it myself.
The fact is the libs have absolutely nothing else to promulgate at this moment. All the wailing and gnashing of the teeth will never absolve the vast majority of libcomdems of their indifference to Hillary's home server, 13 dead Americans at Abbey Gate and so on. The fact is in both parties and all points between there are forced errors, dumb mistakes and outright incompetence. I would rate this a dumb mistake.
I have seriously tried to quit equivocating and justifying one team doing something ignorant because the other team did. The sample size of outright incompetence from the biden 4 years though will take a long time to beat and I'm certain the Trump Admin II won't beat it. The only constant in this world is that the media is overwhelmingly liberal; donates to liberal candidates, supports liberal candidates and does their low down bidding on behalf of liberals causes/people so no chance this story would ever be put in context by them.
