I heard a black pastor from okc on the pat Campbell show today. I don’t know how old he was, but I’m guessing 50’s. He said race relations and division are the worst in his lifetime.
Does anyone ever stop to think how that could possibly be true? What ingredients made that possible?

I'd believe this. Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs would tell you that most of the protestors (particularly the woke crowd) no longer have essential needs that aren't being met, and thus their concerns are elevated to the perceived slights in society aka the self-actualization stage.

If my parents were here today, my white mother would not prepare a quart jar of ice water for my tri-racial father to carry under the car seat for our visits to Sears-Roebuck & Co. I was a little boy when Sears and Montgomery Ward had WHITE ONLY and COLORED ONLY drinking fountains.
I still can't believe the owner of Doe Doe Park in Lawton closed the swimming pool when new Federal law said black Americans could swim in the pool and blacks could skate in the roller rink. Charlie's Drive Inn on Lee Blvd didn't care what color anyone was to get served. Pull into Wayne's and non-whites could forget service.
I sure don't see black-white relations so bad today.
