Looking very forward to the women's march tomorrow

Man the female influences in your life must have been something else. Your dislike of women is pretty intense.
Lol. Damn lame attempt there bro. When will the non-petulant syskatine show back up?

My girls are out there to show solidarity with women who continue to be disadvantaged relative to peers with a penis, to voice outrage at a mysoginistic POTUS, and to have a good time. Walking in the rain didn't sound like fun to me, and the boy has a sore throat so we are staying home and playing X-Box instead.
Fair weathered feminist. I hope your wife punches you in the uterus for being a giant pussy.

This is one of many differences between men and women. Women like to complain. Like when your wife bitches at you, you only make things worse by trying to solve the problem. You just need to listen and give her a hug. Men are problem solvers, not whiners. We always have an end game.

Obviously there are exceptions, but for the most part this is true.

The only real disappointment I have right now... the younger kids are supportive. We made the TCU trek as a trio and had a blast. The older kids not so much. My wife smiles and stays out of the way.
Unless you live in the area, it's hard to sell what ultimately isn't familiar. I felt like a giant traitor attending OU, but the offer was one I couldn't pass up. Hopefully the youngest will attend OU on a scholarship (OSU, no gymnastics) and then head to OSU for vet school. But then she blabs about the University of California because they have both...

You know....I have multiple female friends that marched today....in OKC, DC, Denver, Boston, Dallas, Portland, San Francisco. And elsewhere.

Thoughtful, intelligent, rational, loving, strong, honorable women....and yes....a good portion of them are straight up hotties too...whether I agree with their positions or not. Not a single irrational snowflake safe spacer in the bunch.

I like a whole lot of you guys....at least what I know about you from your posting here (and a few I know personally IRL)....but I've got to be straightforward with this statement...

Every single insult in this thread that the women marching are just fatties, have daddy issues, are irrational, or don't have valid concerns worthy of consideration and discussion is extremely disheartening to me. I know many of you are still in full MAGA, we won, f*** the establishment, hells yeah celebration mode....but damn. Most of the responses to today's march in this thread....and the marchers' that I know feeling that much of America and our new President would agree whole heartedly with the sentiments and attitudes expressed here....is a big part of why they are marching in the first place.

Today's march.....unlike yesterday's BS....was a peaceful, lawful expression of dissent and concern.

Those women really don't deserve the responses, disrespect, and insults you've given them in this thread....whether you agree with them , disagree with them, or have no clue or understanding as to why they choose to march.

"Cuck" away at me.....it needed to be said.

Serious question. Do those marchers honestly care more about Trump grabbing groupies' pussies more than the fact that Saudi Arabia spent millions on her campaign?

Because that's silly

Also, wasn't this march originally supposed to be yesterday during the inauguration? Just adding more workload to the overworked first responders dealing with presidential parades and rioters?

I'm sure there were a lot of great women marching today for whatever reasons, and none of my hyperbole is directed at them. I think the caricature I've used is fairly clearly aimed at the disgusting, militant, irrational man-hating portion of those in DC and where ever else. The Feminazi has a special place in my heart. They have their right to protest and I have my right to bitch about them on a message board, probably equally effective in the end, provided I don't get banned and they don't get arrested.

JD, hats off to your awesome lady friends doing their thing today.

Serious response.

First, you've assumed that they are only marching over "grabbing groupies' pussies". Talking to the people I know that marched, there were a widely varied range of reasons they individually expressed. You're establishing a completely false dichotomy and strawmanning like a mofo to boot.

Secondly, do you honestly believe they should have marched against Saudi Arabia for spending millions on Hillary's campaign (a losing one at that) before they are justified in marching over whatever their present concerns.

Because that's equally effing silly.

Nope....was always scheduled for Saturday.

And from personal reports on both sides....protesters and first responders....the conduct and relations between both sides were reasonable, rational and peaceful. Also, not tied into yesterday's rioting in any way.

With that clarification from you....I'll say fair enough, and cheers.

JD I think you know that 99% of the things said in this thread are ball busting directed at the tiny Cheers bar community that reads this board.

You are a friend on fb, so you may know - I never discuss politics online. So this is where it all hangs out. Hopefully in good fun

Ironically - the women in my life and I just left my daughter' All-State band concert. She was honored among a small handful of kids who are 3 time All-Staters.

Right now, I'm sitting on a bench waiting on a table at a restaurant with my mom - masters degree OSU, wife - love of my life and business partner and my daughter - valedictorian and full ride scholly to osu to major in physics. They are all brilliant and beautiful. And none of them think they are disadvantaged by their gender.

I haven said a word, but they are currently at this moment blasting the marches and the concerns of the marchers. They all voted Trump because they hate the uniparty establishment and are highly intelligent women looking forward to seeing what they consider to be a third party candidate can do and are sick of the petty bullshit constantly being stirred up but are ready to hold him to account if he actually screws up. Pretty proud of them.

So, not quite the genuine mysoginist I'm coming off as in this thread, but I do agree with the women in my life.

I didn't say that's the only reason.

There was something scheduled for yesterday that had to be rescheduled to today because they didn't get permits. Not sure what it was.

Would love to hear the widely varied range of reasons your friends expressed because what the media seems to be covering is that they don't like Trump. Which seems kinda shallow. I would genuinely like to know the real issues.

1. I honestly did not know that 99% of the things you said in this thread were just ball busting....that's why hearing that coming from you (and pretty much everyone in the thread until I responded) was disheartening.....but if you say it, I believe it. Better for me to say my piece and see this response from you than me just thinking "crap....Mega is a helluva misogynist" and keeping it to myself.

2. I've met your wife and your daughter...I agree that they are awesome, brilliant, and beautiful. I honor and respect their opinion that they haven't been disadvantaged by their gender. At the same time, I'm married to an awesome, brilliant, and beautiful woman that has excelled in two different traditionally male dominated professions (police and military). I've raised three awesome, brilliant, beautiful daughters with her. I've seen with my own eyes the sexism and mistreatment that T encountered in her professions. She overcame it and excelled....because she's an effing warrior....but it existed and continues to exist.

3. My commentary wasn't directed in the least to the validity or being in agreement with or disagreeing with the women in your life vs. the women in my life vs. all the various women that marched. Reasonable minds can disagree, engage, and share conflicting views. It was the complete and utter dismissal of any possibility that any of the women marching had any rational basis for doing so that so struck me, but that has been addressed so it's all good.

Much respect as I hope you know.

Maybe I'm speaking from my own experience - I've had 4 female bosses and worked in sales which is a field women do really well in. Now I own a business in a field dominated by women. I've just never personally witnessed sexism.

With all due respect you need to pay attention ...

-My prior commentary in this thread had nothing to do with agreeing or disagreeing with the reasons why the woman are marching. It had to do with the dismissive, misogynistic, attitude that there is no way any of the marchers could have a reasonable rational reason for marching. I've been told that was 99% ball busting...so okay.

-I'm not gonna presume to speak in detail on anyone else's behalf. Trump's promise to appoint Supreme Court justices that will overturn Rowe v Wade was one concern. For some, it was Trump's announcement of John Gore for deputy AG in charge of civil rights. Others were concerned about his general attitude and statements regarding women and what that might mean about how he will lead. Others had other concerns. I assure you....whether I, you, or anyone else would agree or disagree with them...it wasn't "they just don't like Trump".

Thank you, I appreciate that.

I have witnessed it and continue to witness it....pretty much every single day....very well may have a lot to do with the fields I am in.

Same here in my profession - accounting. My direct report the past three years is a woman. My mentor at EY for 4 years was a woman. My regional director is a woman. The leader of my division in my organization is a woman. My three full-time direct reports are women. I've never witnessed any gender discrimination against women in my 16 years from men. I do see it occasionally from women toward other women who are successful and attractive.

And I'm not saying don't have a march, I'm just confused as to the purpose, the end game. Seemed like it was anti-trump or maybe pro-choice. JD's post was helpful though.

My "ancient" Deloitte experience mirrors the same as yours, but I do get what JD's wife would face: different worlds and attitudes.

I have to laugh at the manufactured angst, but guess I'm a relic from equality times since my dentist, dermatologist, and the surgeon who stole my right tit are all female.

What disadvantages do women face? Trump was aggressive with a hot young chick and she liked it so she "let him do it"

I don't see anyone commenting or marching against rap music which is trump times a thousand as far as treating women like shit. I don't see anyone marching for single black moms who are abandoned in inner cities. No one marching for Muslim women who are treated worse than dogs even in this country but of course around the world. No sex trafficking marches either. If liberals would start with some of the worst problems and work their way up to white guys masculinity we would be 100% behind them.
