Lockhart TX BBQ - I Can Only Pick One

Awesome! I love that place. It's about as old timey as it comes. And you're right ... it's an amazing value. Surely you had a hunk of cheese and saltines too!

We are barbecue freaks and have been to most of the Texas top fifty. Places like Black's, Louie Mueller, city market are such slices of history and Americana. I'm glad you guys enjoyed.

No doubt, tons of cheese with the jalapeños. Love onions too and the basket of onion wheels wrapped and ready to go, take as many as you'd like, that was clutch. My breath could have peeled paint by the time I left the place. Loved the sauce, I'm not big on really thick and sweet brown sugary sauces. Stuff like Sweet Baby Ray's, you can just feel the diabeetus coarsing through your veins.

A large side was 2.50 too, what would be like 8 bucks in Dallas. It's crazy. Shot the bull with two couples in line behind us, they were friends and carpooled from San Antonio just to eat there. They were heading straight back after finishing, said they do this at least twice a month.
