Coaches hitting it hard and drinking RedBulls. Went to Hawaii for the NFLPA leadership meeting, benefits his current role. His day to day is working on the CAP, the roster, players that are a fit, constant evaluation. Coach tells me we have to have someone, my job to make it work. Upcoming portal opens on the 16th, no such thing as tampering, constant discussions. Looking for competitive players, not people that just want to make it through school. This staff manages by the snap, very specific needs at each position, we know exactly what we are looking for. You have to love football to put in the hours needed. Talked to NFL teams for evaluation tools on how to allocate dollars given your cap, still have to sell a total package, not just the $'s.

The $20.5M? OSU probably allocate about 75% to football, need that top end range to compete. Not every school will allocate the $20.M, some will struggle. Coaches selling tickets and talking to donors for NIL.

Players will be able to get their own NIL outside of the $20.5M. 105 roster, when does it happen? All schools must CAP at 105, must declare day before first game. You have to really go in to training camp with 105, possibly a few more if you lose some in camp, you can't hold guys back, they will leave, they want to be on a roster.

Roster turnover at OSU, who looks good? Malik Charles on defense looks really good, LB from Saginaw Valley, he looks good. Rawls and DB's look good. OSU will pressure and need to play some man. The Hicks RB from OU looks like a feature back. Sam Jackson from Auburn and Hayes (?) the WR's, doing well. Jalen going to be a matchup problem in the slot, sprinter speed. Nothing on QB.

Energy between old and new staff? The record was a shock last year, never lost that many before, it really hurt. Old staff did not get some things accomplished. The new staff is all full speed from day 1. Mike is sun up to sun down type of guy, he is driving it. Energy really good.

NFL teams, learning their eval methods - Mike has a relationship with Saban and the HC at Georgia, Kenyatta talks to 4 NFL GM's weekly, and a retired NFL GM that is mentoring him (did not catch the name). Adjusting everything, analytics, must identify those that want to be champions and extremely competitive.
