Fish could end up finishing on the podium . He is capable of some big wins, but I don't feel he has wrestled on that level lately.
He had two wins in the cons by bonus points, a pin and a TF, if I remember right. Then he couldn’t get through Berraclaugh’s defense and we got conservative Cam again and another loss.I thought he only wrestled well in his first cons match and then it was back to the usual snooze fest
Great post! I’m anxious and nervous for tomorrow. Agree with everything above. I think as long as our guys stay offensive and look to score we are in really good shape. This is what I like about this team's chances at nationals:
1.) They're healthy. I think they're about as healthy as they can be this time of year. I believe a huge part of that is this coaching staff paying particular attention to each wrestler all season long - knowing when to back off and let them recover properly, focusing on nutrition, focus on positive mental outlook etc. .
2.) They score lots of bonus points. Again this is at least partially a result of this staffs focus on pushing the pace and scoring lots of bonus points.
3.) They're in shape. Credit the staff again - I think we're going to see a team that wrestles hard for 7 minutes and pushes the pace.
4.) Mental attitude is good. I think this team is close and has a better mental attitude than in the past. Credit the coaches again.
5.) They are tough on the mat. Taylor has focused hard on tough mat wrestling and it certainly has shown. Tough, close matches at nationals are often won on the mat.
6.) Desire. I think this team just wants it more than I have seen the last few years.
7.) Peaking. I think this coaching staff has peaked this team appropriately in all phases.
Here's to hoping for a great tournament!!!
11What time do we start tomorrow?
It is the best sport with the worst marketing. There are so many things we could do that would make wrestling so much more popular. Stubborn refusal. Part of the charm I guess.I love this sport but man it does itself no favors when it comes to scheduling. Having your premier event the same week as the NCAA basketball tournament’s opening weekend is terrible planning. I have a couple of college buddies I’ve been gradually getting into wrestling over the course of the season. And now with how things are schedules they will MAYBE watch a couple of finals matches. Basketball is going to be their big focus this weekend
Im at work and have dual screens. I will have a trackwrestling mat schedule tab along with all 8 mats pulled on ESPN+ and will have the multicast view on one screen and all other 8 mats on tabs on the other. Its the perfect system.Curious how everyone else watches this thing?
I'm at work, so I just have matcast pulled up on one screen, then open up a specific mat if a match I want to watch comes on (the schedule page on the watch espn website works really well for this)
Came here to say this. For anyone looking, the info is on Trackwrestling. Select Mat Assignments on the left, then Team ScheduleTravis is first up on mat 4. Spratley is the third match on mat 6. Those are the only relevant assignments so far.

Can yall provide a link for the impaired? I get to Track Wrestling, but don't see an option to select Mat Assignments. Do I need an account with Track?
I would think Teague should be better in this tournament coming back from injury and having 5 matches behind him now. Good solid win.Good start
