Journalists are the real victims

Journalism died about 25 years ago. No longer is there in depth sourcing of leads and sources or pounding the pavement in the name of investigative journalism. It's watch the twitter feeds all day and cruise the internet via google from the cozy confines behind a keyboard to find an obscure source or url to validate the predetermined narrative.

Mmmkay...one could easily surmise that a president being ultra triggered by NYT and WaPo stories is evidence enough journalism is still alive and well.

It must suck to be addicted to a social media platform where you can't help but share your stupidity with the world. Drunks and drug addicts experience the same feelings at some point too.

Looking forward to your condemnation of each and every Trump tweet...you’ll be quite busy.

Many of the same stimuli and response patterns that are used in casinos to keep people gambling are duplicated in social media platforms to keep people clicking/scrolling.

I know. The people who develop that stuff really know how to maximize engagement. More time=more revenue.

I've no social media presence at all. I'm better off for it.
I have two: This site, and LinkedIn. The latter is only to link profiles with co-workers whom I'll likely never communicate with again. I've never done Facebook, Twitter, or others, although I do recall having a GeoCities page back in the 90's.

Fortunately, I got all that out of my system after visiting the Grand Casino in Monaco. Never been to another since. Likewise, no platforms other than Rivals.

I think Tons’s post is reeking with sarcasm.

But as we established earlier, my meter may need to be recalibrated at this point.
You need recalibration. ;) I realized what he was saying. My point was that I couldn't see the 'burn' because I've taken a new policy to ignore idiots. I can't seem to stop responding to them so I just ignore them. Hence, I was unaware of the post.
