It would be pretty historical for Joe Biden to win the nomination. First person with a Golden Retriever's brain to win the nomination of a major party.

The national polls in 2016 were not wrong. They predicted a popluar vote win for Clinton, which she won. The state polls were also rather accurate, which is why Clinton was campaigning late in PA. The Clinton campaign knew they were going to win the popular vote, yet, they also knew they were in trouble in key states.
If you note, I linked to a state poll. Not a national poll. I fully expect the Democratic candidate to win the popular vote in 2020 and the NATIONAL polling to reflect that up to election date. However, we still elect a President by the electoral college in this country. So state-by-state polls matter.
If the Democratic nominee wins Texas, Trump is done. Period. The fact that polling is showing Biden in a deadheat with Trump in Texas is very worrisome to the Trump campaign. Trump does not want to run against Biden. He would much prefer to run against a Sanders. Also, Biden IS NOT Clinton. Biden is much more likeable than Clinton and has a broader appear than Hillary Clinton ever did. And I think even you know this.
