The open checkbook is calculated, not a shopping spree. Basically, it’s not a 1 man show like one other situation.

Just because the open checkbook is calculated doesn't mean he doesn't have one. I believe you're trying to say that Bob is paying all of Iowa NIL $. That's not true at all Iowa has many donors. Another family did donate 7 million for the facility as well which was more than Bob.
I’m saying the open checkbook can immediately shut down and hastiness is not smart. So, since it’s not never ending money yet, I wouldn’t call it an open checkbook.
Also, the fundraising efforts have been great times and effective. Created a stronger community and provides ample funds. Much better than two donors.
I understand that and Chad could walk away at anytime. And he's pulled his $ from programs in the past so I understand that. I just said 1 family gave more than Bob did for the facility. Iowa wrestling having 2 donors is a funny one. 21 million was donated for the new facility after the 2 big donors FYI. It's all public information few articles saying it was 31 million and what the 2 big donors gave

I am saying Chad isn't funding with an open checkbook. We have probably half a dozen guys that are well-healed enough to do quite a bit of funding and do donate when presented correctly. But we have another 30-40 (maybe less) people that throw $50k/year and another 75-100 that send $5-10K.
On top of that, the collective does an outstanding job with their fundraising events and efforts! I would bet that besides the heavy hitters, the collective fundraises around $2mill/year. *I HAVENT BEEN TOLD THIS, I AM JUST CONNECTING DOTS*
I am saying that we currently can't be reckless with spending and money is put in appropriate places to insulate against lackluster donation periods.

Have you heard around 750k would be allocated to wrestling from the revenue sharing? That would equal around 18-20k per athlete
Yeah, I heard that same number per athlete.
I also think the Program made a profit due to several financial factors being alleviated from the AD budget.
It’s so important to have an ability to remove inputs from the budget and make the Program a ton more sexy for the board.
