I was scanning a conservative website and the headlines left me in a state of wonder. It seems leftists are trying to get airports to ban Chick-Filet in their terminals (because of the ownership's Christian beliefs?), a list of actors who are calling for a boycott of Georgia (over abortion?), and one of Biden's accusers is saying publically what we've all known for a very long time, that the left expects women to be quiet when the harassment is coming from men on the left. It leads me to wonder if there is any limit to the pettiness from the left. I ask my leftist friends on this board: how petty, how low can leaders/celebrities on the left go before you think it is enough?

I'm against government officials using their police power to interfere with people using their market power. How about you?
As regards the actors' boycott I don't have a particular problem with it beyond its obvious juvenile pettiness, which is the topic for discussion.
Dick Durbin is apparently saying the Democrats will not condemn Biden based on the unsubstantiated charges of one woman. Does Bret Kavanaugh ring any bells? The condemnation goes only one way? Isn't that hidebound pettiness in your book?
I am mostly curious if you, as a man on the left, are disturbed by any of this; and if not, is there a limit of pettiness to which the left would go that would cause you moral discomfort?

Personally I wouldn't confirm him to the Supreme Court if there was a credible testimony about him attempting to rape someone. I think Durbin is in the same boat.

I must have missed that Kavanaugh was credibly accused of rape. A lone accuser recounting a story from 30+ years prior about an unknown party at an unknown time that not even her friends at the time nor her therapist could corroborate.
Credible means believable. Her story, as told, simply wasn't. But she got paid (6 figures in a gofundme iirc) so good for her.

I thought we discussed this. People can do what they want so complaining about the boycott is wrong. However, the airport (a government controlled and managed authority) is practicing censorship if IT bans Chick-fil-a. How many times have you lefty's told me in the various Facebook threads that only the government isn't allowed to discriminate or censor. Suddenly though, you have no problem with it?
By the way, to answer the original question no, there is no limit to the pettiness. Go look at the Olberman story going around today. He was happy to use his soapbox to go after a culture and way-of-life he has zero understanding of and disagrees with. Called for the guy to be fired, called the writer of the story trash, etc. If its not their way, its wrong and thus you are evil. The zealot left has become every bit as zero tolerance (if not more so) as the Christian right was 30 years ago.
Lefties honestly believe they are the only ones who can be nasty and be offended. Those things are on their terms or else. That’s the piousness of their narcissism.
I once heard the Republicans in Congress referred to as "The Washington Generals", and the Dems as "The Harlem Globetrotters".
